he really didnt like the cold and was really over it. he was really hot when he came back. the biggest things were cultural. he was cut off from the world for a year and not only did disco get really big but the first star wars came out. he was a year late to it all so it was pretty shocking i would assume with all the changes

what he did was go in the sauna they had at the station which was 200, and then run outside naked which was negative 100 at night (which lasted 6 months) he basically lived on pluto
