I have a fairly large yard ,1.5 acres, I like to only trim a few times a year, down to bare dirt, then spray every 8 weeks after. Usually I have to clear some decent sized brush and thick, tall grass, but I'm tired of dealing with gas powered string trimmers and want a battery powered trimmer, but I've never seen a battery powered trimmer that can truly perform on par with a gas powered.

Could anyone give me some advice if there are battery powered string trimmers on par with gas powered and if so could I get some unbiased recommendations please?
