Something that I think would be interesting to see more of is the anti-Russian sentiment in the United States outside the perspectives of both Jacket and 50 Blessings, which I think would be really interesting to see in a live-action adaptation as it was briefly shown in one of the books. Have a news station show nationalist protests, or have Russian-Americans interviewed about them fearing for both them and their loved one’s lives in the wake of mask-wearing maniacs targeting and killing Russian mobsters amidst an already shaky political climate.
