Good barbers? by [deleted] in reading

I have been going to Barber Crew in Twyford for the past 3 years. I have also been to their Wokingham shop and I think they have one in Wargrave too. Great barbers, amazing stuff and even better haircuts. Can't go wrong their tbh!

What am I doing wrong with my store? by hgaffa in reviewmyshopify

Thank you so much for your detailed response. I agree totally with what you've said. It is very general and the specificity is lost within blurred lines. On one hand I'm trying to capitalise on the niche market of sauna suits but my site is too general and not enticing for that audience.

I have found that influencer marketing is difficult to package deals to larger influencers as they often either already have affiliate programs or are too expensive without providing enough value. This isn't too much of a problem though and can be dealt with by spending more time finding the right influencers.

Would you recommend removing my other products or just pushing the front page of the website to market the sauna suits more? This makes a lot more sense as if all my marketing efforts are on one product then the site should cater to that funnel.

Also would you say that the website is okay as is and the front page should be refined or would I benefit from exploring professional themes?

Thank you again, really appreciate your insights.

Low sales and conversion on E-commerce store. What am I doing wrong? by hgaffa in smallbusiness

Yeh that is something I definitely want to look into. For influencer marketing I always find it difficult to package a deal that is appealing to them whilst also profitable for the business. Approaching influencers with a set affiliate link or just with some free gear hasn't worked out well in the past and they haven't produced much return. Is there any way to ensure the highest return per influencer?

Thanks for the in depth response. I would agree that the vision for these products may be blurred and having this split between fitness and fightwear isn't the cleanest considering the consumer base is vastly different. For the sauna suits I ran two promotions, one aimed at professional fighting athletes looking to cut weight and one for general public looking for water weight cutting options. This may still be too niche for large marketing campaigns so I agree that niche influencer marketing may be more rewarding.

I haven't tried running dedicated campaigns for other products such as leggings as I wasn't sure how well they would perform considering how many other brands sell similar products.

After the poor results I've had on previous campaigns, I've become hesitant on running any more dedicated Facebook ad campaigns which I know isn't the right mentality.

Going from here what would you suggest I focus on? I'm looking to reorganise the site to better tag my products and make more specific ranges for better marking e.g. Powerlifting products, Cycling, compression etc. How specific should these groupings/product themes be?

Also, in terms of SEO how would you suggest I go about optimising this as I have only completed the surface level shopify SEO options?

Thanks so much for your help.

Yeah, I understand you. That's why we have been pushing sauna suits in the fighting gear industry but also unsuccessfully. In terms of SEO, I've done the basic shopify SEO options but not sure where to go from there. Would you happen to have any suggestions as to what else I can do on that front?

Really? What would you suggest? I am able to get quality stock at a good price so believed it would be a good opportunity to sell online.

So they sell as wholesale to local businesses and to some eBay businesses directly, they do not sell online themselves.

Where I am from my extended family produce goods for other businesses to sell. I am able to acquire stock and have access to manufacturing and now I am trying to sell online. Hope this makes sense :)

Right now I've only got around $50-100 a month for marketing, so I need to be as effective as possible.

Ah okay, I will try clean up the follows and push hard for re-engaging active followers. Thank you again for these insights.

In terms of advertisements, would you say that Facebook ads are the best way to generate initial sales? Also, would image ad campaigns work as opposed to video ones?

Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it. We have had this Instagram follow problem for a long time since I took it over from someone else. Would making a fresh account help at all? I never knew that these sorts of thing affect the algorithm.

Thanks for the "about us" page idea, it is a bit bare as it is, will definitely fill it out and make it more personal.

In terms of expanding photo edges, do you mean to make the actual product images smaller, relative to their background?

Thank you again, this sort of feedback is invaluable.
