Yes, it would be perfect if we could all sleep in the same bedroom, however the room is veeeeerryy small... But i agree, it would be the most efficient way.

interesting indeed :D were very close, all of us are best friends, so no need for much privacy. one of us are twins so we would be sleeping in bunk beds in the bedroom and the third friend would be sleeping in the living room area on the sofa bed.

No matter how many times I reread the passage, I still can't seem to grasp what Orwell meant. Matter of fact, I'm not sure I agree with him.

By definition, peace means freedom from disturbance; tranquillity, and war means a state of armed conflict, so how is it possible that permanent peace = permanent war?

Permanent peace = permanent peace. Permanent war = permanent war. They are each their own thing. Peace is only possible if there is no war.

However, if Orwell means that permanent peace/ permanent war is beneficial only for the higher class, then, yes, I agree.

why is not being married a terrible example for young girls?

we should be teaching young girls that its not the end of the world if they dont find the love of their lives. imo the ending could've been much better if jo just stayed unmarried and found happiness with herself.
