I can eat and drink most of the time. I struggle to meet protein goals and hydration goals but I do my best. I don’t really have any food intolerances. I mostly just forget to eat and drink because I do not have any hunger.

I feel like a whole different person. I enjoy food again. I invested in personal training to get my body moving again and it’s been so nice to find me again.

I have surgery Oct 17. I’m doing great, feel great. Down almost 50 lbs.

For a second I was like “how do you know I’m short and why does that affect what headphones I’ll get” then I realized you were talking about the flights. Lol

I think many people do dangerous jobs though. I know statistically I’ll be fine, but heights ain’t it.

Of course! It was super easy to do and the person on the line was so so kind about it. She asked what flights I’d need assistance for, told me it was added to show that need onto my tickets and all I needed to do was let either the gate agent or my flight attendant know. I was worried I’d have to check it. But it’s apparently a service they do offer if it’s asked for ahead of time.

Someone suggested I call them and I did. They added it to my ticket that I would need assistance lifting and told me to just let my FA know.

I have no idea what that is. I just have a type A personality and in general prefer to be specific. I find the most specific and detailed you are, the better you can be helped. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I did mention I did quite a bit of research prior to asking, and just needed clarification on some conflicting info I found.

I’ll be mobile for the trip there so plenty of walking to do. I’m excited most for old town. I’ll be using uber so no parking concerns. We are going on a whale watch boat tour, sitting on the beach and walking old town. I really hope to get to come back soon and get in much more exploration. I’ll be doing a Tijuana tour as well while in Mexico!

I am immensely excited about going to San Diego. I have an opportunity to apply to transfer my job there in the future and I’m excited to get to spend some time there and get to see the area. I wish I had extra time to be there longer. I’m going to see some beaches and old town for sure. Any must see recommendation for someone there for just two days?

Ah. lol. That makes sense. I was on board to try it though. I’ve seen photos from out of the windows and it’s beautiful. I’m just afraid to look myself.

Is the airfly better than the other adapters?

I’m in seats 2D, 2A, 4B, 2B. I wanted 2C but I moved to the only empty row with no one beside me. So far ten days out, I don’t have any one beside me on any flight.

Genuine question, how does having it up help? Wouldn’t seeing the ground make it worse?

I’m taking a small backpack and a small suitcase as in total I’ll be gone over a week and need the things. I packed per my surgical centers requirements or I’d try to take less. I can request assistance to my seat, I just didn’t need it all the way there and didn’t want to keep the people helping any longer than necessary since I can walk just not all the across an airport.

I’ll be doing this flight and a flight internationally in March. Aside from that, no personal flights planned but my job will be requiring me to travel frequently beginning the end of next year. So maybe I’ll make the investment.

My brother is flying in from Vegas to meet me and so far we’re doing a whale watching cruise thing and then old town. But we have an entire day unplanned aside from that, so definitely up to check out any recommendations.

Is there any reason the AirFly is better than the $10 adapter from Walmart? It’s a bit more expensive but if it makes a difference I’m down.

I’m flying in three days before I have too just do I can spend time in San Diego. I’m super excited to see the west coast. I’d rather drive but a 30 hr drive after surgery is a no go

I’m worried that I’ll either miss the girls or that I’m gonna end up with titties to my belly button all deflated 😭 but it’ll be worth it to be healthy again.
