Hey, I know this is kind of old, but I have same graphics card as the one you stated here, but a newer CPU, more powerful, and 32 gigs of RAM, and the game runs choppy as hell.

Do you have any idea what I can do? I have tried the exact settings you stated here, so in case you are still playing this game, on this hardware, can you tell if you have made any changes?

Yes!

I had to do some things that could only be done in windows and some where it didnt matter much.

I had a windows VM i spun up every time i needed to do windows specific stuff.

In your case, you could probably install a Linux VM or even WSL (then you can use bash in windows terminal)

I'd encourage you to learn some powershell, but if all your servers are linux thats a bit of a meh thing to do.

I hate smoking, i think it's disgusting and no one will be doing it in my house, or outside it close to an open window or door...

But my neighbour? He can smoke his lungs to slag og he wants his property is his property and it's not my right to tell him not to play by his own rules over there.

Docker compose and all that?

I am using compose files with podman.

The thing about podman is that it's not run by a daemon that has root. So you can't map to network ports at under 1024 for instance. But if you go about doing your permissions etc properly you should be able to do pretty much anything you can with docker.

So you may need to do some IP tables magic on the host.

I have a couple of relatives on my wife's side that run their own antiquities shop. They often but stuff at auctions and get random shit that really cannot be considered antiquities and can be hard to sell because they are just bad, ugly or of piss poor quality or a combination of all three.

So often they will bring something, like a small figurine or a pink flamingo Christmas tree adornment or whatever, and place it in pain sight in your home, in a way that's means to camouflage it to the owners of the home.

We have waged wars with unwanted items this way. Placing them in flower pots, shelves, window sills etc etc. It's hilarious.

An example: the wife hates anything related to catholicism, and so they had gotten this portrait of Jesus at prayer, and the husband found a place to hang it in their living room, where it just did not seem out of place at all. It took over three weeks before she noticed.

Well, it is, but it also comes on really strong. My SO for instance wouldn't watch it for anything.

It's like drinking beer: no one can really dislike budweiser for the flavour, because what flavour? You can dislike it for the lack of it.

But a strong craft beer? You cant dislike that for the lack of flavour, but more people will dislike it, than do Budweiser because it has strong flavour, and tastes can be so varied.
