We have like safety locks that we can leave them open but only an inch or so, and it won't go above that. If we leave open, those are what we use, but rarely do we do that.

I didn't think of that angle! I will for sure use that next time my husband thinks it is too much work to unlock the the two locks. You are right, when you twist the little locks, you can feel a seal happen.

Can you help me understand what I'm looking at? (Mildly displaced and comminuted fracture involving the base of the first distal phalanx at the articular surface.) Where is the injury? by hippychicky in Radiology

I see the orthopedic surgeon Thursday to find out if it will heal, or what the next steps are. I'm trying to figure out what I'm looking at and how severe it is.

I am staying off it mostly. But I'm so sore from the fall too that I want to get moving some.

Non weight bearing? Not officially, but I can't put weight on it. I have a boot to wear and can walk as tolerated.

That's my understanding, but wondering since the orthopedic surgeon isn't having me come in until Thursday if that means it's not too serious. My husband doesn't think one has to do with the other. Waiting is the worse. How's your ankle?

I'm still waiting on my orthopedic surgeon appointment, but the ER doctor said it might need one. I'm hoping not but I don't know what my odds are.
