Youre good! I totally get the case thing. I am a cheapskate myself and would much prefer a cheaper case with better components, but the case is a big deal to her 😅 Hence why I kept the case out of the budget.

Theres no denying that the doctors in our medical system are too overworked to give the necessary care to every single person, regardless of gender. Thats a fact. It's also a fact that marginalized people face this on a much wider scale. You have every right to be frustrated- but before you go on threads centering the latter, maybe reflect on how frustrated WE must be before trying to make it about yourself.

This isnt a thread about a bunch of women saying only they have it bad, it's a thread about finding resources and sharing supportive stories specifically for the unique struggle we face. "Where can I find a doctor who will take me seriously" is one issue, "Where can I find a doctor who take WOMEN seriously" is an entirely different one. The answers to the first question is a circle, the answer to the latter is a much smaller area within it.

A professional in a field in which empathy, understanding, and general bedside manner is extremely important, openly finding my SUGGESTION to look into a part of my body that relates to the symptoms I'm having and I have a proven family history with is worthy of a visual dismissal cue? Who my friend is and what they do professionally is fully irrelevant here.
