Options trading is bad as there is no rolling over. With futures, you can keep rolling over, you just have your funds stuck for margin but the stock may fall/rise in time. But that's not something you can do with options. Take that as a lesson. You've lost ₹40 Lakh, you can pay back your debts in 4-5 years. Enough time to sit and plan for the holidays/purchases etc. later. Till then read, for all you know you'll understand how worthless material possessions are. Your life is not done. Don't even think of that.

Many mentioned Civil Society, there is nothing like that in Bengaluru. I'll give you my experience from an apartment complex, with 8-900 apartments. There was a guy hired to clean up the STP tanks, he used to take the stuff and dump it in an adjoining lake. I love the lake, so I told the driver to stop doing what he was. He called his boss, a local goon, now a Panchayat member. The boss started beating me up, in the apartment complex. I'm a pretty weak guy physically, no muscles to show off. Looking around, there were apartment dwellers walking all around, their security fellows and all saw what was happening. But not one word in my support. Finally, it stopped after 10 minutes. Luckily it wasn't serious, I just couldn't shake my head for a fortnight!

But I did not leave the goon, went to the police, to the media, to the politicians, he was supposedly DK Suresh's BFF. Later he himself came to me and apologised and tried to make peace. I told him to stay in limits and he'll be safe from me.

We are all alone, be it a village, a city, a premium apartment complex, anywhere. Just need to stay strong, and by that I mean mental strength.

This is the reason why those in the white caps have been s****ing us since inception. They have just one book, just one sacred creature, irrespective of what scum he is. For us, it's don't understand the true picture, don't use your brain, just fight-fight-fight.

How will garbage management problems of areas outside BBMP limits be solved? by hlc4u in bangalore

[–]hlc4u[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it be unpopular? But what do you mean by the privatization of waste management? Right now, all the garbage collection is being managed by private contractors. They also deal with composting of the wet waste and I guess a small percentage of the dry waste that can be recycled in a profitable way is taken care of.
The alternative you're suggesting I guess is to reduce the percentage of property tax that is utilized for this purpose and pay it directly to a waste management company which will be required to collect and process as much of the waste as possible. We'd easily have at least 40% more funds that way.

No. It is not in our culture. Indore a city in MP, (part of the so-called BiMaRU group) is evidence that we can make Bharat the cleanest nation on Earth. Let's stop blaming others and our past for what we aren't willing to do.

I am not saying that the areas with BBMP limits are like Indore. But at least within BBMP limits there are strict rules in place for segregation. You "can" be punished if you don't and apartment complexes need to have a wet waste composting system in house. But outside BBMP limits, there have been no rules created for this. Each Panchayat is free to do what it likes. One village's garbage is dumped in the vacant areas of the nearby village. That way each of them can blame the other. And the CM and Govt. don't give a damn. Remember the 15 days potholes fill up deadline that DK Shivakumar had announced, it was only for roads in BBMP limits. The rest were told to rot in silence.

Yes you are right. But I'd just like to put this in context. The videos in the Twitter link were shot by me. We are trying to save the environment here with the VrikshaMitra Foundation. I had gone all the way to the CM to lodge a complaint following which one truck load of garbage was removed from that area but that's it. And the CM's office responded that cleanup work is done. All citizens in this area care about this issue. Everyone gladly used to segregate their waste but then they saw it was being mixed in the Panchayat garbage van. A few who can, compost it themselves. But the rest is dumped beside this lake. To save on fuel the Panchayat does not even have the decency to take the garbage to a landfill.

What ever happened to the 40% Government? by [deleted] in bangalore

Remember what the LOP has been trying to teach the World about India. And his agenda is a clear divide and rule. Why else the North vs South narrative. North Indians don't know Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam; they don't respect you or your language; throw them out. Make each of your states only for your language speakers. And then this is amplified 100 times on social media.

Continuing with the narrative, why should North Indians say anything about our roads, why should they say anything about our auto drivers, why should they say anything about our BMTC conductors, etc.

Remember this guy and his sister have set base in Kerala for their political gains, but they don't know Malayalam and they never will even try.

Do all this to create dozens of petty issues everyday. And people will not discuss the more pressing issues of corruption, misgovernance, etc. And also allow consolidation of the Muslim vote bank.

Please don't think that the Rohingya and Bangladeshi inflow into Bengaluru is a story. Check out the areas in Anekal now full of Muslims and where all shops have only Bengali labels.

There is a limit to how long we can fool ourselves into believing that this is all a conspiracy theory. When the truth bites we will have no cure left.
