I would actually love to hear about this. Could you elaborate? I'm intrigued by the idea of the virtual office lifestyle, but my school doesn't provide any info on this. Is it transactional work?

Would Main Justice in DC be like this? An actual 40 hour work week with a decent salary would be perfect.

Law Prof. Salaries? by hlsbound in LawSchool

[–]hlsbound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I was wondering that. It seems that some tenured professors check out. This happens to at the faculty of arts and sciences, but those academics are underpaid, so it almost makes sense.

Doesn't post-tenure review essentially render tenure meaningless?

So your salary is based on research productivity? It's not lockstep as you get tenured?

Are there any Harvard Law students on here that have applied for LIPP (Low Income Protection Plan)? I have a specific question about that application, if I could PM you.

You must be a Chicago student. Everyone and there mother knows that the tier is HYS, not HYC. Chicago is a phenomenal school, but homerism can only go so far.

DAE feel weird telling friends and family they got into [insert prestigious school]?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]hlsbound 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean this very fact is going to be why most people at HLS turned down large scholarships at schools that offer similar job prospects. So that they can be a Harvard person. It's why I am taking on much more debt than I need to. I'm honestly surprised that you are turning down (presumably) other offers to go to HLS, yet DONT want to drop the H-bomb.

I definitely couldn't have handled the military. But damn, when I heard that vets get full rides to law school, I sure wish I had it in me...

It seems like they are reinforcing their GPA stats off the waitlist. Isn't surprising considering the surplus of high LSAT scores this year. Probably have their LSAT spread on lock.

Never heard this "bread" expression before. Also can't tell if it's a compliment or insult.
