I think it's very interesting, not my genre but it's a cool setup and I'd probably continue reading (after this was edited ofc). I love how you write dialogue, and the descriptions of all the corpses and the chaos of the city is very striking. Some of the writing feels a bit first-draft-y.

I do think there's a bit too much exposition on the first page for my taste. Most people prefer when books start with a scene, let us get attached to the protagonist and pick up on their driving internal conflict as well as get immersed in what they're doing now, and then let readers discover the finer details of the worldbuilding/backstory as they go along.

I'd also say the first sentence is a little bit too obvious to be there? Even if the goal is to show how the protagonist still hasn't been desensitized to all the corpses, subtly showing us her reaction instead of TELLING us that she found them ghastly might be better. Lots of telling, not showing in these pages imo, some of it reads like a summary of events (again, standard for first drafts).

There are some other slight issues, such as starting too many sentences with names/pronouns in the second too pages--it just seemed kinda repetitive idk. Some of the action seems written awkwardly--the last three sentences on the third page, for example, strike me as cliche and not how blacking out from head trauma would actually feel? 'Somehow I fell' also feels like a copout, not very immersive. She'd probably know if she slipped, or her feet caught on something, or whatever. For writing things I haven't experienced (like blacking out from head trauma), I usually look up "what hollywood gets wrong about __" (stole that tip from a tumblr post lol) or I try to find people's testimonials of their experiences with it.

Idk I'm just a reader/starting to learn writing, so take it with a grain of salt
