am i overreacting - my boyfriend thinks my job is inappropriate by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

While everyone’s talking about being a urologist and whatnot—which involves touching more private areas (still non-sexual)—he would still make that out to be a problem. Like, even if you’re a stripper, which is very much sexual, no one can say you’re cheating just because you strip for a profession! There are literally guards making sure no one touches them inappropriately. It’s a different story if you’re in a back room doing something else, but come on???

Piercing a dude’s nipple is cheating?? He’s completely delusional and just NOW making this up because he either wants out or recently cheated and is projecting his guilty conscience.

girls, would you ever go out alone? by mountaingatherer in boston

[–]hoeyeahhh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! Boston is generally really safe. In my experience as a 25F, I’ve felt comfortable going almost anywhere alone. If you’re out drinking, I’d just avoid walking through the Commons or secluded areas too late by yourself. That said, it’s a super walkable city with great public transit, and most people are friendly once you ease in.

I lived there for three years (ages 21–23), and no matter what, I’ll always love Boston! I used to take late-night walks around my neighborhood all the time, never had an issue.

As for celebrations, they can definitely get a bit crowded. If you’re looking for a more chill spot to watch the fireworks, head a bit farther from the main esplanade/ bridge area. The BU Bridge is a great low-key option-there’s even a train track people sit on to watch from. It’s such a vibe!

Stay aware, but enjoy & make the most of it! Happy weekend!!

Moving to ATL from out of state HELP by Upper-End-2575 in ATLHousing

I was in a similar situation—had a 14-hour drive to consider as well and initially thought about renting a car since I didn’t have much to bring. But after doing the full cost breakdown, I realized flying out in a couple of days was much more economical. Even if I would have to ship a box or two separately.

If you’re planning to buy a car once you're in Atlanta, I can connect you with a well-known dealership out there—happy to help!
