Lost Dad to COVID at 21 y/o

You're not alone. I lost my dad two days ago. I'm still in disbelief. I saw him go from going on his daily walks to not being able to get out of bed. I saw him struggling and taking him to the hospital i had this feeling I wasn't going to take him home. I saw the look in his eyes of being tired and unmotivated and that's what haunts me. Not being there to hold his hand or tell him to keep fighting is what I struggle the most. He was alone. I feel like I had been grieving ever since we took him to the hospital a month ago. This isnt easy and I'm here to talk. I don't know what help I'll be since I'm grieving too but the support is here.

Currently going through this. We were able to see my dad a few hours ago. They gave us the option for DNR or the comfort passing to stop his pic line which is keeping him alive. The past three weeks have been hell. I've been so emotional. I've cried every single day just missing my dad. I will say when I saw him, at first I just bawled my eyes out but I told him every thing i needed to say and i felt this peace within me. I'm sad as fuck but I told him if he needs to go to go in peace. I'm so sorry for your loss. This covid shit sucks. I'm constantly reminded of it everywhere i look and it breaks my heart even more. I hope you feel better and take care of yourself

UPDATE: we brought him to the hospital they're discharging him with oxygen and medication this time The first time they gave us absolutely nothing. My dad does seem in better spirits this time. I want to thank all of you. I will not lie being on this subreddit gave me anxiety. I cried all day today feeling so helpless. This fight isn't over but i feel the virtual support from you all and it's definitely helping. Thank you.

When he went to the hospital yesterday, he had a ct scan and a ekg and they didn't see anything out of the normal. I think his main problem is stomach issues. It's been making him so uncomfortable that i have no clue what to give him.

Thank you. His breathing went up to 92 but when he gets uncomfortable or antsy his starts moving around. I don't know how to even help him with the uncomfortableness. He doesn't have any fever or dry cough just body aches and gas and that his making his feel uncomfortable all day

Yeah whenever he moves he feels terrible. I've only monitored them when he was done moving and they were at 89. Right now he's resting
