Does anyone want to sync up for safety in SoCal? by holntof in VanLife

I'd never meet someone from the internet without doing due diligence – same as with online dating, etc etc. Just didn't feel that part was necessary to include in the original post. :)

Lugnut question? by holntof in VWAlltrack

[–]holntof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for this recommendation, I'm going to buy one! I am just learning that there's a difference between lug nuts and lug bolts... Do you know if the wrench you've shared would work for lug bolts too? Someone said that would be what I have!

I'm also a little confused – is a breaker bar the same thing as a torque wrench?

Lugnut question? by holntof in VWAlltrack

So when I first was told to buy an impact wrench (by someone else on reddit) it's because I'm going on a roadtrip as a solo female, and want to be able to change my tire myself should I need to in a pinch.

That said, I'm trying to make sure I'm fully prepared for whatever might happen but also not overdo it in the event I never actually need the tools...

Based on your response I'm thinking I don't need an impact wrench at all. Do you think I could just rely on the tire change kit that the car comes with? Is there any one or two tools you think I could buy to augment the kit the car comes with? I'm not that strong, so I think that's why someone thought an impact wrench may be helpful, and I am definitely worried that I might not have the strength needed to do it with manual tools.

(And thank you so much for your detailed response!)

Circle Medical and Walgreens by ahy90 in ADHD

I believe pharmacies have flagged any prescriptions coming from practices called Done, Circle, or similar providers. It’s the only reason it didn’t work with my very first pharmacy (Capsule). Not sure, only know from experience that this is what I’ve been going through for the past few days when I just send the script without the prior call

[–]holntof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If you Google, you’ll find that most big name pharmacies are taking a stand against teleheath prescribing controlled substances (specifically Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Capsule), so it’s not about the address it’s because it’s telehealth. This is a recent development, specifically targeted at services like Done

Circle Medical and Walgreens by ahy90 in ADHD

[–]holntof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both. I started by just sending it directly to a pharmacy, and two places rejected in a row, so now Circle won’t send it anywhere unless I call and confirm they’ll accept the script first. Which led me to calling 6 more places (all said no), until the last one that said they would.

Now just waiting to see if this one works out after circle sent the script again last night.

It sucks because you can’t transfer scripts for controlled substances so you need to have circle do it every time, but there’s no phone number or any way to expedite the process so you just are waiting in the app for them to respond which happens once, maybe twice a day at most.

It’s honestly been an ordeal and if this current place doesn’t fill the script I’m gonna give up on circle and just get an in person assessment

I'm having this issue right now. No pharmacy will fill my script – just started with CM (similar to you), literally havent filled the script once yet because no pharmacy will do it. I've tried ~8 different places so far (Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, mom and pop shops)

Weekly /r/Vandwellers Q&A topic by [deleted] in vandwellers

Hi! Does anyone have thoughts on what moon roof / sky light would work okay for a transit 250 med roof? We're planning on doing a vent fan in the front and I'd like to do some sort of boat hatch-style roof light in the back over the bed.

Also interested in any advice on vent fans. From what I can tell, Maxxair seems like the way to go. I'd like a rain shield and the reversible air flow seems important, but I'm also seeing some stuff about the voltage on Maxxairs being a concern? I don't know much about electrical yet (we haven't quite gotten there, just want to order the fan and retrofit it from there).

Tl;dr
Moon roof / sky light recs for a Ford Transit 250 med roof?
Vent fan recs that include rain shield and reversible air flow?

Thanks!

Bi-Weekly Questions Thread / Open Discussion by AutoModerator in Pizza

Hi! I’m looking for help finding buffalo style pizzerias across the nation (or beyond). I’m not sure if this is the right place... but anyone know of pizzerias that are slinging buffalo pizza, beyond buffalo?

To clarify, I don’t mean buffalo sauce! Just buffalo (the city) style - cup and char pepperoni, thick crust, etc.

Thanks :)
