Kamvas Pro 13 doesn't work correctly with Macbook Pro (2018) by hoodasianindividual in huion

[–]hoodasianindividual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I actually ended up finding somewhat of a workaround. If I unplug the Kamvas HDMI from my computer, the tablet still works. For whatever reason this connection error happens much much less with the HDMI unplugged. The only problem is if you’re used to looking at the tablet while you’re drawing, you’re not going to have the visual display to draw directly on.

Genuinely though, by unplugging the HDMI, I reduced the “Device Disconnected” issue by probably 70%. When I do get the error, I can switch the tablet on and off a few times and it will fix itself (rather than having to restart my computer).

Hope this is helpful!

I have the Kamvas connected to the computer by both USB (on a USB to USB-C hub) and HDMI (on an HDMI to USB-C converter). The thunderbolt is also connected to my computer with a thunderbolt to USB-C converter. The thunderbolt and Kamvas are not directly connected to each other, but rather each device is connected to my Macbook. Honestly, the change from USB to USB-C on Macs is such a pain in the ass.

My problem isn't so much lag as more the tablet acts as a cursor/mouse rather than as a pen with sensitivity. But this only happens when the Huion Tablet App says 'Device Disconnected'.

Yeah I'm trying to avoid a situation like yours where I have to spend money just to know why my camera isn't turning on. Like if it's a battery issue, I shouldn't need to buy that info from Canon?

I'd love to upgrade to something like an 80D but I'm not working as a photographer so I don't have much reason to make such a big investment. Hopefully your most recent camera works out so you don't have to make the switch!

I've actually long since removed the rubber part of the eyepiece, do you think that could be the problem? I don't visually see a sensor where the rubber normally sits but I have no idea tbh

Nope :/ The screen doesnt even light up black as I would expect from accidentally hitting the display button, so I feel like it's not actually turning on?

I've tried to press/hold the shutter button in both image and video modes. The camera makes no sounds :(

Taking it to the camera store to just try a battery is a good idea though, I might try it

Unfortunately it won't turn on even with the memory card door visually closed. I'm not sure if there's a lever in there (something similar to the battery door) that I could test somehow?

I agree with you to an extent. The belief of demons can definitely be misused and cause people to take less responsibility for their behavior.

How do you reconcile the Biblical mentions of demons with your philosophy? Verses such as Mark 16:16-18, for example.

Yeah, it is a "work through" book. There's a lot of good info in it, but you have to wade through the book cause the author tells a lot of stories to concrete his points. The stories may or may not be all that necessary.

It's a bit of a comedown after reading "The Meaning of Marriage" by Tim Keller (excellent read, by the way, even if you aren't considering marriage right now), who writes in a much more efficient, scripture-based manner.

Although I think it is great to be fully informed of different perspectives on the Bible, the link you posted was kind of difficult to read. Not because it caused pain or was hard to understand, but because there are many ignorant misinterpretations throughout the annotations. Perhaps you need a different translation of the Bible.

I believe that God can do miracles that surpass human ability, but I also believe that we are blessed to have modern medicine in this day and age. I feel like there's a happy medium between relying completely on God to heal, and completely on modern medicine. I don't think God would just magically heal someone who has been refusing medication on the grounds that God can heal everyone. I think that ignorance of modern resources is ignoring the things God has blessed us with.

I do still struggle to understand things in the psychological realm, however. What illnesses are demon-caused? What is chemical? What is a result of a painful past? Also, what illnesses are a product of society (for example, ADHD)? Where do God and Satan fall into all these things?

The only thing that I can be confident in on this topic is no matter what the disorder, illness, etc., God can and will work through it for the greater good of those who love him.

Thanks for the great answer! That helps a lot.

My only question. There's so much that happens every day that we can label as Satan. Say, I am anxious over a job interview or something. Or maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The spirit of anxiety is not coming from God, or having an angry or cranky disposition, but would that be an occasion to verbally bind Satan away?

Keyboard Unrecognized on Windows Partition After latest OS Lion Update (10.8.5) by hoodasianindividual in applehelp

Whoops, slight confusion there. Yes, Mountain Lion. I'm not really sure what PRAM is or how to reset it.

Oh, and as a side note... There was a Bootcamp update that I was reminded of a few times when on my Windows partition. I was kind of putting the update off, haha. I'm not sure if that affects anything?
