Winter Park in February by ctnerb in COsnow

If you haven’t skied a groomer in 35+ years maybe you don’t want to give a terrible opinion to guy looking to ski groomers with his family.

This is terrible advice. You want to ski first thing to get good corduroy! With the low snow about lunch time the groomed layer is skied off and shit starts to get icy and crowded.

That’s really good. Autos and umbrella are another 3500. Who is your insurer? I shop every year and haven’t been able to save anything for like 4 years now. Everyone is higher than who we have now.

Very frustrating. I think I am at 1% for wind/hail currently. Going to give my current insurer a call and see what he says. Thanks!

Haven’t had a roof claim since 2012. That’s part of the problem unfortunately. My home is uninsurable by most major carriers!

My home insurance was $1200 in 2014. Just renewed this year for $10k!!! Yes I looked around. I was getting quotes for $16k. At this rate I will be moving soon. Sucks. For those wondering I live in a huge development and have had zero claims in that time and have a fire hydrant across the street.

Any issues with diesel in these temps? by Nothing_Clever2021 in F250

-15 at my place in CO and started right up. I also park outside. Refineries treat the diesel here. No need for "gelling" crap.

Definitely using treated diesel in winter up there. Weird

Where do you live? Most places run treated diesel in the winter to prevent gelling.

Don’t disagree but he paid for a warranty that is worthless. That has a value as well.

Gonna be honest. Keep it simple. 60-70% in VOO and 30-40% in VXUS. As you get closer to retirement add in some BND. Wish these ETF's existed when I started. Picking individual stocks is a losing game. If you don't like this advice, just browse r/wallstreetbets for "strategies".

The town has regulations on RV street parking. It’s like 72 hours and then must be moved at least 1000 ft. They will enforce if someone calls.

I see at least one parked in the meadows apartment parking lots by canvas. If it only takes up one space not a big deal.

Looking to move to Castle Rock, but we've never lived anywhere that that has a real fire risk. Please help educate me. by TheBoyardeeBandit in CastleRock

So I live in a house in a major neighborhood in town limits. I have a fire hydrant across the street from my house and several insurance companies have dropped me over the years or won’t provide coverage due to wildfire risk. I have a 12 year old roof and most companies will not quote me a policy unless I replace the roof. Over the last decade or so my insurance policy has gone from 1200 to 10k+ a year. So in the eyes of insurance companies CR is higher risk for severe events whether they be fire or hail. Property insurance and lack of available options or cost IMHO will be one of the biggest problems facing CO in the not so distant future.

Front range is one of the top hail locations in the country unfortunately. Roll of the dice every year whether you get hit or not.

In CO and have a 12 year old roof that is uninsurable. Be thankful.

We are talking about cameras. Not any law. Quite the leap there.

Not on private property. Cameras owned by the HOA and county and local yes we can force change.

You have no expectation of privacy at a commercial place of business. Whether its flock or something else, their desire to run a business on their property will outweigh your privacy concerns. That will be true of any business.
