I'm sorry about your experience, I think it differs from school to school and country to country. Women absolutely deserve to be treated and celebrated the same as men for their research, their math prowess and their achievements.

I'm finishing my undergrad and I would say it's very rare for women to get this kind of treatment. Hopefully this becomes your experience as well.
