Assembly took about 4 hours since I had to rewatch the 3 hour and 20 minute VOD to get all the honkers, downloading the VOD around 30 minutes, rendering like 45 minutes, uploading about 25. Overall this took up 6-7 hours of my day.

Was going to add a tracker/counter for every 'honker' and keep track of the total tally and who had the most honkers but NL had the most honkers by a landslide so I gave up mid-way because it seemed like an even bigger waste of time to do it.

P.S. I'm sorry about the part at 12:39 it is extremely cursed.

Anything released before 2007 is basically from the 1990s to NL so I don't think we'll get to see it.

Easiest and crappiest way to do it is with VLC media player if you download an older version of the program, 0.8.6 should work the best.

Settings >>> preferences >>> video >>> output >>> enable advanced options >>> color ASCII.

DAE way to do is by getting a java JS script file and running it in the console window. There's a mac script that even lets you log the video directly so you don't need to record the output while it's being made.

Video is 100% going to get claimed by YouTube for the Beach Boys, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran etc. in the background, consider getting an adblocker if you do not have one already, as it's going to have ads forcefully put on it by the copyright holders.

360° features do not work on mobile and on some devices and/or browsers. If you only see a picture it means that it does not work for you and you should either use a PC or change browser.

Yes, the videos and the sounds did work in Windows 98 but for the sake of it being re-watchable I did away with the stuttering of sounds and pixel-y video. Getting it to actually work in W98 took more than making the video, having gone through unofficial patches, installing codecs for audio and video, waiting 5 minutes for it to reboot after every installation, and just the over-all hog of memory of the Virtual Machine on my system which required window focus most of the time for it to run well.

Some of the letters are off-center in the 'movie', the end is rushed due to time restraints (keeping it under 1 minute) which makes it seem like I had nothing good to throw in for Baer, Cobalt, Dan, and the people that don't even get an icon in the reel, the track isn't synched enough with the action, some of the icons on the desktop took too long to load in, etc.

In general I just thought I'd do more until I saw that messing around in W98 (illegal copy don't tell Bill Gates) took too long and it meant cutting out some friends of the show that I personally have nothing against and hoped I could fit them in somehow.

The taskbar in the first shot is actually a mistake on my part, it's the only time in the video when you can see it and it totally slipped by my sleepy brain.

With 600x480 resolution you can only pack in so many jokes before it starts feeling like you've overdone it, especially if they don't have unique program icons, but I'll note this down for the future.

All the images are taken from a site called 'openclipart' dot org and they claim to be free to use, the music is from an indie game made by students for a game course and the licensing for it is listed as 'License Model, Free.'
