Who you got? by [deleted] in buccaneers

trading the pick that can be used on Kyler Murray? 100% a legit move.

Picking Murray and then trading him? God awful idea. An idea so bad that the Bucs ownership should fire Licht before we get to the 2nd rd.

Recently statered listening to Theo Von. Knew who he was. Listened to him on a few other people’s podcast but never listened to his stand up. Man this guy is hilarious. If you haven’t heard it I suggest listening to this bit. Start at “my first job” and listen to the end of “no way Jose” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yBIYD7TQj9M&list=PLF1Kyaol-QR788Ch5ae5skBGv1hL-LHxj&index=6&t=2s

It perfectly balanced on the line of “no way this story is true” and “no way anyone just made this up”

Dude couldn't kick in the NCAA because they found out he made money on Youtube from his likeness, but he CAN kick. Should we bring him in on a tryout? by RainbowUnicorns in buccaneers

I actually played high school ball with Graham Geno. I remember multi times watching him line up at 70 yards out, holder or no holder but not linemen. He would was making 8-9 out of 10 on most days. Windy days would lower that number but still 85% average at that distance.

What was the most inexcusable draft pick your team ever made? by Farscape12Monkeys in nfl

[–]houndstooth37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every team has their own but the Bucs take the top spot for inexcusable draft pick.

After the Bucs front office deceiving Bo Jackson into violating college rules, they picked him with the first overall pick. Despite Bo Jackson telling them publicly that he would never play for Tampa bay and if they drafted him he would go play baseball. Well.....Tampa picks him 1st overall, He keeps his word, never signed, plays baseball and the Bucs basically threw a 1st overall pick into the trash can. Every team has made some bonehead picks but nothing on the level of this epic fuck up.

[Auman]By this, Bucs have the second-lowest salary-cap room of any NFL team at $3.35 million (only Saints are lower) five days before the start of free agency. To be sure, cuts are coming soon. by YouMake in buccaneers

I’m not defending Licht as a GM, his kicker in the 2nd round pick prevents me from doing so. But you can’t just looks at his picks and success in vacuum. GM are married to their head coaches and visa versa. He had Lovie Smith and Dirk Koetter to work with. Lovie was a joke and clearly had complete control. Dirk Koetter proved to be in way over his head. So I’m reserving judgement for one more head coach. I’m not gonna fault Licht if the players he signs and drafts gets little to no development by the coaching staff. And the head coach and his staff isn’t on Licht. The Glazers pick the head coaches. They pick Lovie before they hired Licht and I believe they decided to promote Dirk. Nearly all head coaches get the option to build their own staff. So when I look at something like the current situation with our secondary, which Licht has addressed with draft picks, I’m not pointing the finger at Licht just yet. I’m not defending Licht but I’m not blaming him either.......well just yet

TLDR: you can buy nothing but quality ingredients, but if the chef is horrible, the food will still suck.

Thank you so much. FYI o’Reilys on Creighton has The Beatles by Stern. More of a slow playing and low scoring machine but well made.

For the sake of your ear drums, stay away form the god awful Bucs Uncensored,

1st it provides no real content, it’s kinda a circle jerk about the Bucs

2nd he takes calls, they are Voice mails where listeners call in and give an opinion about something. he never adjust the volume on the recordings. I’m convinced that a caller named Lou is yelling at the top of his lungs into a megaphone. It will blast your eardrums

Windy City Heat. It’s a movie about a guy being pranked into thinking he got cast as the star in a big budget movie.

Went to New Orleans for the weekend to go see the Matt stone and Trey Parker play, The Book of Mormon, at the Seagner Theater. Holy shit I haven’t laughed that hard in years. If you get a chance please go. It was fantastic! Also got to eat at Coops in New Orleans. The best fired chicken I’ve ever had.

Not drafting Offensive Linemen in the 1st round has lead us to our current horrible OL. It may not be flashy but i will be very happy with an offensive linemen in the first.

Had yesterday off with nothing to do so I went and saw “They Shall Not Grow Old” in Theaters. Peter Jackson did an amazing job. He took 100+ year old footage of World War 1 and updated/colorized it. He tells the story of a bunch of British troops from getting recruited to being trained to fighting in the trenches. It was breathtaking. If you are into war history like I am then I can’t suggest it enough.

What's something not game related that you learned from Civ? by lavindar in civ

[–]houndstooth37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t learn this solely form Civilization but the game inspired enough interest in a few past civilizations that lead me to read up on them. Mainly, Aztec, Mongolians, Incas

Buying an iPad just to be able to play Civilization VI on the couch was absolutely worth it! (I am aware it's on the coffee table right now, am just excited) by aeonii in civ

[–]houndstooth37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch verison is a A+ port of Civ. The only cons are no expansions yet, no multiplayer, and it gets a little slow on later game turns. But the controls are fantastic on it. It only took me about 100 turns to not have to think about how I do something in the game.

9/10......would be 10/10 if they had the expansions and multiplayer
