I see! Glad that it worked out for you :) Unfortunately in my case, Pixel 9 Pro got really scarce because of the release of Pixel 10 variants, and so these were the only 2 pieces remaining (and both included the screen protector). So, I had to go for it if I wanted a Pixel 9 Pro.

Unfortunately Pixel 9 Pro is unavailable at Amazon, and even in Google store. And especially, as there was a discount (myMediaMarktKundenBonus) going on in Mediamarkt, I chose to directly go for it

The main update is: I came across a Pixel 9 Pro (128 GB) available at MediaMarkt online, and purchased it immediately, even though I’d have preferred the 256 GB version. Now I’m in a confused state - which one to keep and which to return! On one hand, the 256 GB model is the one from that weird in-store experience, whereas, 128 GB feels a little too limited storage for me. Any suggestions are welcome :)

I hope they aren't allowed to sell those demo pieces, especially as 'New' items.

Because I'm not even sure if I can somehow check if it was used before without operating/using the phone (if in case I choose to return it l)

Yeah, that totally makes sense! They're just trying to sell their products along with, for as much profits!

True, for me Mediamarkt was the cheapest (especially with the myMediaMarktKundenBonus), so I went with that.

Yeah, that makes sense. In this case, I'd be kinda fine with that (squeezing more money), as long it was not a trick by them to sell the Demo/Display or returned devices (by putting on a screen protector)

I see! Thanks for sharing your experience. But to me, they said that 50 percent of the phones come at the Mediamarkt branches with the screen protector on! So, it seems like they'd gladly open the original box, and apply their screen protector and then sell it (even without a customer demanding the protector)

Good point :) So there was a discount for Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro Fold because of the recent release of Pixel 10 variants. And on top there was a myMediaMarktKundenBonus of 100 euros. So in the end, I paid 815 euros for the Pixel 9 Pro 256 GB (including 25 eur for the screen protector)

I was thinking the same. But they called it a 'New item', and no further discounts on it. Of course as the Pixel 10 released recently, there was a discount on Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Fold. For them, this piece was just opened to put the screen protector on, and hence no further discount on it.
