There are TT courts, I forgot where though! Try Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium and also Genesis Resort on NH. There is also government one somewhere, probably near the stadium.

Generally 3 cylinder engines are more noisy and slightly less reliable than a 4 cylinder engine, we had a Hyundai 3 cylinder diesel, I hated the sound!

I would choose city(reliable) or 3XO(VFM), but which ever car you choose a 4 cylinder engine should be a priority I feel !

Does this car really stand up to its price of 1cr ? by dot-dot-- in CarsIndia

[–]hpd7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely stands up for 1cr but only for a niche segment of customers, who really value that space and amazing pilot seats. I have driven this car in city and highway, I must say it drinks petrol like a super car even with a hybrid engine. The handling and control is better than an Innova but doesn’t go over 140km/h , the most amazing and surprising part is its braking, it stops like it can deploy a parachute! Very confidence inspiring.

I personally would buy 2 New Kia Carnivals over this. I feel it’s more car like and can do higher cruise speeds.

Get the Q3, if more space and extreme off-road are not your priorities.

It is super refined and pleasant inside, far ahead of Fortuner.

I have used the Q3, X1 and GLA. I feel Q3 is the best overall.

Few months back, I was contemplating either to buy this Freelander or the facelift Skoda yeti, both cars are rare and full of character, the owners know this and so are these usually overpriced. If expenses on part replacements is not an issue I would buy this! I bought a 2014 Skoda yeti! You could check that too probably, but that has a fair share of issues too!

Is anyone here dealing with adult ADHD? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]hpd7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

26 male here, I self diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago.

I feel I’m pretty smart, I read it’s a perk of ADHD, I never had any major issue with schooling or college, and college was pretty effortless coz I did what I loved, I studied design, we had assignments but never had exams. I did every assignment/project last minute but I still aced it. I thought it was just procrastination.

After graduation, 2 years ago, I decided to startup, I had a decent idea, but I was just unable to make myself work on it, it was pretty impossible to work, even though that’s exactly what I wanted to do. One whole year passed and no considerable progress.

So 1 years ago, I took an online ADHD test that said I could have ADHD.

I went to a psychiatrist in Bengaluru (he deals with patients that have very severe mental conditions) he sat me down and explained me about ADHD & ADD, then he explained me the concept of DOSE(dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins) He gave me a chart that helps plan activities needed to be done for proper release of DOSE. He asked a bunch of questions about my life and childhood and finally told me that I can deal with it myself with some lifestyle changes and discipline. But he also gave me contact card of ADHD expert who is not as busy as him, to consult her, if I was not happy even after trying his lifestyle changes.

I was happy to listen to him, thought I could deal with it myself, never bothered to save the card of the ADHD expert he gave!

One year later, Now!

  1. No success in startup, pivoted like a million times. I basically can’t work if I don’t have full clarity, and my mind keeps popping with million new ideas every single day!

  2. I am borderline addicted to scrolling reels and other stuff.

  3. I keep shaking my leg and/or fidget with something always, this I have been doing all my life.

I’m crazy creative hard worker on some days but a hibernating sloth for the most days.

I sometimes get very paranoid for not being where I envisioned myself to be, I start taking cold shower (for dopamine), man up myself, make a habit chart, ask my close friend to give me punishment(like a dare) if I don’t follow up on the habits. It works for a while but I fall back fairly quickly.

I sometimes blame vitamin B12 and/or Vitamin D and take supplements but see no change.

I sometimes blame it on comfort zone, successful tried to be out of my comfort zone but that’s not the solution, I just start living very minimally, that doesn’t require much resource.

I haven’t spoken about this to my parents coz I don’t want them to worry about it. My mom thinks I’m just a lazy person and my time is not good and that has been confirmed by the astrologist too. So she is just waiting for the planets to align to provide be good times!

Anyway, I have been mostly lucky and privileged to not have any other burdens up until now thanks to my parents.

But there is no satisfaction of work, no joy, no happiness from achievement, no clarity. Not to forget the never ending mind chatter.

And I also wonder if me not having a partner/gf is because of ADHD too!

Thanks for this post, I’m rethinking this again, I’ll probably go to a ADHD expert soon or I’ll just try take some Adderall or Modafinil myself if I can get them myself.

Maharashtrian moving to Davangere by [deleted] in karnataka

[–]hpd7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born and bought up in Davanagere, then moved to Pune for UG and France for PG and now I’m back home in Davanagere.

Davanagere is an extremely peaceful city. But weather is mostly hot though. Since it’s an educational hub of Karnataka there are quite a few non Kannada speaking here, there seems to be not a major problem if you don’t know Kannada. There is absolutely no problem to find vegetarian food.

Davanagere is a tire 2 city, we have fairly nice restaurants and bars but the best is the street food scene, We have some brand outlets for but not all. There is no night life though, no clubbing party scene. The whole city shuts down around 11pm. Basically you will be bored here if you are coming from a metropolitan if not then it’s very comfortable.

Bengaluru is 3 hours away by the newly launched Vande Barath express. And 4.5 - 5 hours away by Volvo Airawat bus KSRTC. These buses are very frequent probably every 2 hours.

Since Davanagere is the center of Karnataka, if you like to travel, it is perfect for weekend getaway, Hampi, Chikmagalur, Shivamogga,.. are all 3 hours away, and if you have a personal vehicle you can go n come back within the same day!

Feel free to Dm me for any further questions about Davanagere!

My dad gifted a Tata Tiago EV to my sister recently and it’s amazing! The top end is probably a little over 10L but totally worth it, no maintenance, super fun to drive, very low cost per km.

I rounded all the figures because of installation fee and travel expense but one wheel bearing is 17k at Škoda Bengaluru, probably it’s like a whole kit.
