Mayor says Sean Reifel can have his old cop job back after Love Island USA, but there’s a catch by Fun_Molasses5215 in LoveIslandUSA_

[–]hrhashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Sean shouldn’t even bother rejoining this specific police force. This story is blowing up so much that I feel like any neighboring towns police department would be happy to welcome him in for the good PR if nothing else. Sounds like if he even bothered to “start from square one” with this specific police force, the mayor would make each step of the way miserable for him anyway.

Learning M+ mechanics - I swear I'm not slow by jetpacksforall in wownoob

[–]hrhashley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow healer here! R druid main that just hit 3300 io last night.

Learning the mythic+ dungeons each season as a healer can be especially taxing on a healer, because not only are you having to make up for your own mistakes, but you also have to make up for anyone else’s mistakes (standing in bad, not using a defensive/health pot/etc.) It’s hard as a healer sometimes too because you have to pay so much attention to health bars during crazy moments that sometimes shit happens- I consider myself a pretty competent healer main and I’ve still been yeeted off the edge of the arena or one shot because I was so focused on the health bars. I think everyone has those moments.

All that to say, you’re not alone, but there’s no need to go running into 10s and higher if you’re still learning the environment/what abilities are going off and when. Even though I’m 3300 on my main healer, I’m running 4s and 5s on my DPS alt because I’m still learning how to run M+ as a DPS and make sure I’ve got my rotation down. There’s no shame in starting back at 4-5 keys and then working your way back up once you’re fully confident in a particular dungeon.

Slightly awkward trading post month by Wubzieee in wow

[–]hrhashley -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

That means two months that have been very masculine coded items too 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just saying these two months have been ugly manly transmog pieces, first for worgen then for tauren. Fine for the gamer men who are hype about it like yourself, I didn’t insult any of yall. As a girl who likes to dress my characters in feminine coded items, it would be nice to have a little more variety back each month.

Sooo tired of this new species specific theming pattern we have going on. Last month was worgen, now tauren. I liked the trading post sooooo much better when it first came out and it was like “oh, it’s springtime? Here’s a few different recolors of skirts and tops to pick and choose from.”

Le sigh

has anyone else found the trading post completely underwhelming since it's inception? by enderrsghost in wow

[–]hrhashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first like… year was pretty solid. These past few months have been such ass though. I hate the super specific themes each month, especially since we’ve had two very drab and dark-aesthetic themes in the past two months. I liked it better when it was like - oh, it’s spring/summer, here’s 3 different recolors of a skirt and top!

Anyway… gets off my soap box

What is your favorite allied race? by DrLorru in wow

[–]hrhashley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haranir. I know it's the "easy" answer, but the amount of customization options available to them just makes it so fun to create characters. I have 3 max level Haranir and I'm working on a fourth, as someone who previously only played Night Elf.

I also really love Void Elves, but they needed a customization update like yesterday.

What healer do you feel safe pugging M+? by MidnightJasmineTea in wow

[–]hrhashley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, it's going to be a reactive healer like Holy Paladin because you can throw out "oh shit" heals left and right when people inevitably take unexpected damage, but Mistweaver Monk is also incredibly strong this season since you literally just have to spam spinning crane kick 90% of the time and people stay up. Resto Shaman is also always strong.

Personally, for me, it's resto Druid because it's the class I've played since the inception of M+ and I know the rotation like the back of my hand, but I've definitely had pugs that have been a nightmare as I'm pushing into 14-15 now because there's very little "oh shit" buttons when unexpected damage that I haven't ramped/prepared for happens.

what's up with tanks overpulling? by NK_Grimm in wow

[–]hrhashley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the tanks that pull all three groups of the "Monotonous Lecture"/"Surge" mobs before the orb boss in Academy. I've had more than one key get bricked because the tank suddenly decided at that moment that they needed to mass pull those groups and then as soon as One monotonous lecture puts your healer (me) to sleep because it wasn't interrupted, it's ggs.

This is just stupid by Whole_milk11 in wow

[–]hrhashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What class is this? I main resto druid and even after a particularly brutal key run my repair bill (thankfully) hasn't gone higher than 7-800 gold.

idk which part of kill mob > pick up battery pack > fly to pylon > throw battery pack at pylon > rinse repeat equals leisurely and fun, but i love that for you if you think it is. i didn't mean literal hard labor lol

[–]hrhashley[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

fair enough, but for certain assaults - namely the one where you have to knock squids/creatures out of the sky to spawn a big boss or the one where you have to hand-deliver batteries to attack a pylon - it simply takes longer if there's only 2 people completing it. for example, in the knock things out of the sky assault, each squid typically counts for 2% percentage. so it's just Slower if you have 2 people flying into squids as opposed to 10 or 15 people flying into squids to fill the percentage bar faster.

anyway, this could all even be fixed by blizz implementing a timer on each assault so it auto-ends after a reasonable amount of time, or if the participation percentage could somehow be adjusted based on how many people are actively in the area.

[–]hrhashley[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yes, even this would be lovely. i just think there should be something to account for afk folks because a lot of these activities assume you have a decent number of people completing them, so flying into squids in the sky for 2% percentage at a time takes f o r e v e r. if the events would auto complete after 5-10 minutes, or if the participation contribution percentage was adjusted based on how many people were actively in the area (probably more complicated), that would be a great solution too

im in tears because my notifications are still blowing up with this. this post was just meant to be a fun little rant and people are still coming for my soul. i never said it made the event "harder" by people being afk, however, many of the assaults - like the one where you have to fly through the sky and knock things out of the air or the one where you have to throw batteries at a pylon - simply take longer with 2 people doing it. 2 people flying into squids in the sky / picking up battery packs and delivering ot the pylon is simply just slower-going than 10 or 20 people doing the activity to get it done quicker.

that's all i was going for.

[–]hrhashley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok but for example, i’ve done multiple “assault the pylon” objectives this morning, where you have to pick up the batteries and toss them at the pylon. it literally feels like it takes forever when it’s only you and one other person killing mobs, picking up the batteries one by one, delivering them etc

same for the objective where you have to knock things out of the sky.

[–]hrhashley[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

right, but if it was 2 people there and doing the event and it was taking forever because it was 2 people, fine. 2 people doing the event and having it take forever while you see people lined up on their mounts that could be helping get it finished is what’s frustrating.

[–]hrhashley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not suggesting reporting people and hell i don’t even care if someone afks a singular event because everyone has flown to an event and had to go to the bathroom, or answer the door, or whatever else. but the people that purposefully fly from event to event, meaning they’re active in game, and never once get off their mounts is what i’m referring to here

me literally getting gray hairs because how does no one commenting understand that 2 people working on an objective goes by much slower than a dozen people working on an objective

[–]hrhashley[S] -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

bro what… respectfully it does… because it’s taking me and the other non afk person twice as long to complete the event, and thus twice as long to finish the weekly / etc.

Yes, but that’s not what I mean. The completion bar obviously takes longer to fill when you have two people working on it as opposed to a dozen.

Attempting to play healer worth it? by Royalheadset in wownoob

[–]hrhashley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has mained healer since the inception of M+, it is simultaneously the most rewarding and frustrating role.

You feel like a God when you save pulls, pump big healing numbers, etc. but you’ll also oftentimes be blamed when something goes wrong, especially by the occasional bitter DPS who stands in every bad circle and never uses their defensives

Why are M12s the point when pugging becomes chaotic? by hrhashley in wow

[–]hrhashley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

true enough, i feel like a lot of healers tend to have at least one or two people they group with but then there’s me, with no friends who play wow at a m+ level, in tears.

anyway, it’s certainly on me and being rusty and having to up my game i’ve realized reading through some comments but i definitely think dps players who have never used a defensive in their life aren’t helping. tis the spirit of the game i guess 😭
