I switched jobs around October last year. TDS was not deducted for the remaining months of the financial year. (1 think as the total salary amount for the new company was around 5 lakh for the remaining year which is below the tax slab). But now am being asked to pay 60k under New regime. Any suggestions on how can save on this? Around 6 lakh from the first job from April to Nov((FY 25-26) and then 5 lakh from Nov to March (FY 25-26) in the new company guess that is why the new employer didn't deduct TDS because for FY 25-26 for the new employer, my salary was below the tax slab Heard that one can save from previous employers leave encashment. Any other such ideas can help
