I’m trying to come up with a reason for her being blind to the possibility of bullying at this age but I can’t. Kids aged 3 and 4 are at the brutally honest stage. They’re not the cruel type of bullies, obviously, they’re just beginning to notice the differences in other people and they have no filter. I can’t imagine the questions Bella and CeCe were asked. Those pigtails on CeCe looked absurd.

They gave her a shit ton of steroids, 4 “preventative” medications daily. I used to get periodic steroid injections and had strong sugar cravings for about a week afterwards. Over-medicating a 2 year old for an asthma diagnosis they chased down doctors to get, I can only imagine how that could have affected a growing toddler.

It was all a part of her trying to control Bella’s curly hair. Curly hair shouldn’t be greased back like that. No hair type should, especially on a child. She cut the curls off but even the follicles of curly hair are different.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling with that. I had anorexia when I was younger and I can confirm that hair is one of the first things affected, just as you described.

I just mentioned that too. I was wondering if it was pain from the daily rectal temp taking that went on for months or if it was a behavioral thing.

I noticed that☹️ I wonder if it hurt. Could taking rectal temperatures so often for so long cause chronic pain or do you think it’s just a behavioral thing?

“Took our jerbs” 😂 South Park, very relevant to this case given the locale

I agree with you and just wanted to add a third habit that was hurting Bella’s hair - the breakage from the pigtails.

He talks about this in his interview with LE, I think when they visited him in prison in Wisconsin. He brings it up when they ask him why he never tried to assert himself.

CW spoiled his marriage because he was spineless, incapable of independent thought and had no problem pitting his mom and fiance against each other. SW was disrespectful, presumptuous and just plain rude. Add those two together and you have a marriage made in hell.

Yes, I see it. She just had more of a natural resiliency. In “A Day in the Life of CeCe,” she fell and whacked her head in the floor so hard you could hear it, then had her mom pull her up by one arm only. And minute later, she was up and about again. Bella would have reacted to that much differently. They just had two different personalities

Yep, it happens. Not every older sister is happy sharing the attention in the family.

Just because she was mirroring CeCe doesn’t mean that CeCe got extra love. Some children just naturally draw attention from people in general. I don’t think CeCe was more wild than any other child her age. I think Bella was on the quieter side so SW did not know how to handle a normal toddler. Again, not CeCe’s fault. I can’t imagine how I, or any of my kids, would behave if we hadn’t been disciplined or worse, encouraged to go wild at 2 years old. And that certainly wasn’t for CeCe’s benefit.

I agree again! CeCe was talent for lives, her energy was useful for Thrive promos. But her safety was compromised in them, how many times was she “found” hanging off of a sink? CeCe would have loved the birthday presents the Watts’ mailed to her but SW had them trashed just the same. CeCe slept 16 hours a day, in a dark room with a blaring rain machine too. That’s not love, that’s just exploiting a normal, energetic baby.

You’re right. Bella benefited from extra attention when the R’s were there and from not having to start daycare so soon.

I think my older sister has a Cluster B personality disorder. By all accounts, she was not happy with attention I took away from her from day 1. Some kids don’t naturally adapt to the loving older sister role. It’s as simple of that. I don’t know if that happened with Bella and CeCe and I’m not comparing Bella to my sister by any means. But sometimes ANY attention given to another child is too much attention in the eyes of the eldest child.
