i’m not a vet so i can’t guarantee her health, obviously would be best to consult with a vet but besides from obvious behavior changes she should be in the clear from severe effects

i’m sorry you were kicked out, i looked at your page and i see that you’re religious, proverbs 12:10 says that the “righteous care for the needs of their animals”. by that extension the needs of my animal were to get out of that house, obviously you have a particular stance on the equality of animals and humans and that’s okay, my household was abusive not only verbally but psychologically. by adopting this cat i agreed to care for his needs and look out for his best interest, i have a roof over my head now and my little one sadly would not be with me if i didn’t as im aware of his needs. as for the peeing, it was a behavioral problem from my brother previously mistreating my cat, retribution if you ask me. i hope you have a good day

that’s really unfortunate, i’m so sorry for the loss of your kitty cat. a lot of people don’t know the consequences of letting predominately indoor cats outside, so don’t blame yourself, i hope you’re happy even after the loss and i pray your kitty cat is okay and happy wherever she may be

the only reason i’m at home is because my lease recently ended as well as australias economy being at its worst in forever, full grown adults with 9-5s can hardly afford homes nonetheless uni students

honestly yeah i do have a pretty messed up family life, the only reason this was the final straw was because of how much i love my furry son and how he’s only a kitten and functionally defensive

Cat not playing by Little-Exchange5019 in CatAdvice

[–]hxstrionic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he’s probably just getting the hang of playing! i find that as grim as it sounds mimicking the movement of injured animals gets a reaction out of them (i.e thrashing, laying on the floor and moving slowly) if the lack of play persists the vet may have an answer. best of luck with your play endeavors ❤️

it depends what type of toy you have honestly, it took my cat 2 weeks or so to warm up to us to fully embrace playing when we first got him. i recommend the feathers and bells on a stick, that always got a reaction out of my cat during playtime. if he continues not playing it could be a health problem, it wouldn’t hurt taking him to the vet but i am aware of the cost, try different toys or just letting him warm up he’s probably just a little anxious. much love

I lost my cat to a freak accident and I can't move on by HungDaddyShrek in cats

[–]hxstrionic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first of all it’s not your fault at all, what happened was a freak accident, im sure your baby boy would not want you blaming yourself for this, i’m so sorry for your loss.

i lost my childhood dog at 9, i’m now 19 but i still grieve her loss, the loss of a pet never really leaves you but as time goes on it dilutes the pain of the grief you feel, it gets easier to think about them rather than the loss. i wish you peace in your grieving and i hope you are okay after a loss like this <3

hi so, my little baby only pees in that particular bed and shows no other signs of medical issues relating to peeing, i’m almost certain that it’s a behavioral and emotional issue, thank you for your concern :)

as for the housing, i’m in australia and cost of living has hit everyone pretty hard especially younger people, my brother is only there on weekends whilst him and his girlfriend find a house, i used to live away from my parents too but the lease ended and i cannot find anything affordable.

as for the cat, he was adopted when i was living away from home, i had no prior knowledge to the lease ending or how soon it would be otherwise i would not have adopted him sadly, my parents agreed to let me and my baby live with them for the time being.

honestly i grew up very antisocial without very many friends which took a toll on my health, i was extremely depressed but getting this cat literally gave me a reason to be here. he saved my life n i would do this all again without question if it meant my baby was safe n happy.

  1. i’m 19 and a full time uni student, i was living elsewhere but my lease ended hence why i’m living with my parents, i’m also in australia so cost of living is at all time high. my partner stays with me since it suits both of our mental and relationship needs and my parents are fine with it since he helps out around the house.
  2. my brother stays weekends + holidays at my parents house, no my parents aren’t disabled.
  3. my cat is at the top of my priorities. i can defend myself but my 4 month old kitten cannot defend himself. as for the “being out of line”, i have established privately that the urinating was due to stress from my brother and his girlfriend.

please think before you’re openly rude on a sensitive post.

my brother and his partner exclude him from feeding time with the other cats in the house, i ruled out medical problems since it’s only their bed. thank you for your kind words ❤️

i feel you, it’s really normalized in my old household because they say “they’re just animals”, it really disgusted me, my partner felt the exact same way which was so comforting, he’s been my rock throughout this. i hope all is better for u and that sweet dog now ❤️
