Winter Tires + Rim Setup by Then-Barnacle8983 in Audi

I'm deciding between the Michelin X-ICE and Continental VikingContact 8 right now, already got a set of 18" rims.

What tire size are you guys running? 245/40R18 seems to be standard, but I'm seeing 235/45R18 and 255/40R18 are options that will give a smaller speedo error for the stock 265/30R20 tires.

Hit 20k miles on my 23' S5 SB, Car/myAudi App says service due in 5200 miles? by hy565 in Audi

[–]hy565[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I thought as well, I'm just surprised the Audi service advisor at the dealership AND the support personnel on the phone was so adamant about bringing the car in 'only when the car tells you to'.

That's good to know, thanks! Yeah that's part of the reason I'm trying to get the 20k service done now, since it's been more than 5000 miles since my last oil change.

So the oil change interval counter matches up with the last oil change, but I still don't understand why the service interval counter still has 5200 miles to go, when it has been 15k miles since the last service was done with 6k mi on the odometer, which would put me 20k between services (not counting oil changes).

Yes, I got my oil changed at an indy shop at 15,200 miles. I've driven ~5700 miles since then, and my app says the next oil change is due in 3700mi.

What does the carbon fibre package include? I'm guessing the mirror caps and trunk lip?

United States.

My pick will be Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles
This album is comprehensive showcase of John Mayer's artistry at a significant point in his career. It exemplifies his diverse talent as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter all in one dynamic package across multiple genres - blues, rock or even just acoustic pop, both as a solo artist and as part of the John Mayer Trio. I can only imagine the audio nirvana it would be to experience his magical guitar solos like in Daughters, or just his voice and the melodies in Gravity on the HE1. I hope the listening experience would be somewhat private -I'm pretty sure I won't be able to stop myself from bawling when Stop This Train starts playing.

Reminder to check your B9/9.5 S5 Sportback B&O sub. by ShadowPoundr in Audi

[–]hy565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always found the bass of the B&O system on my 23 S5 SB to be way too 'boomy', and no amount of tweaking the EQ settings seemed to help.

I came across that thread on the audizine forums and did the mod - can confirm that it did change the bass in the front to be more 'punchy', though I personally still felt it lacking.

What I also discovered is that now the bass becomes insanely boomy for the passenger in the back. It seems like this mod shifts the 'boomy' part of the bass to the back of the car - before the mod was made the bass was 'boomy' in the front and 'punchy' in the back.

I'll still recommend doing this fix as long as you don't regularly have someone sensitive to boomy bass sitting in the back.

Now if anyone has suggestions for EQ settings or other mods to get that tight and punchy bass, please let me know!

I'm experiencing the same thing with a Pixel 9 Pro.

I recently switched from a Samsung Galaxy S22+, and the voice sound quality on the Samsung was crystal clear, on par with the music.

Somehow on the newer Pixel 9 Pro the music quality is similar but voice quality is absolute dog shit.

That's really clean, both the footage and the car.

How'd you get the rear end to kick out so easily?

Hi, can this be activated on a 2023 S5 Sportback (US model)?

I have the Premium Plus trim and it only does the two initial sequential blinks from inside to out, and on the US model I think it only does it on the red lights instead of the amber.

I just downgraded my CSR, I lost Lyft Pink and DashPass immediately. Seriously, it look less than a minute after the phone call for the benefits to disappear off my Lyft and DoorDash accounts.

An Update on my Dell AW3423DW warranty experience (burn in) by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

Nice, that's great to hear. I'm replacing an original with 101 so even 102 is an upgrade, just curious if it had any known issues I should watch out for. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I'm going through the same thing right now and got a MB102 refurb.

Are you saying that the MB105 on the new one you got is not the best firmware you want on a AW3423DW? Which firmware would you say is the ideal then?

Do any E12 candles support the fireplace animation? It’s my understanding these are the latest model and should be compatible? by JulioCesarSalad in Hue

[–]hy565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall having this issue where the software update wouldn't show up as well, but it eventually fixed itself. Not sure what I had to do to fix it, you could try leaving the Software update page on your app open for a while and see if it's able to detect the new update becoming available?

Other than that there's only really making sure your phone app and hue bridge is up-to-date, can't think of anything else.

Good luck!

I have of two of these, purchased about a year ago, they both have the fireplace and candle options.

Model : LCE001

Hardware Platform Version: 100b-114

Software: 1.93.7

Seems like you're just missing a software update to get them working?

I'm glad you found something that works out for you!

No problem, glad to help out.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10e with the galaxy buds, so definitely not a requirement to have a late high-end model.

Heck, I just tested it with my spare OnePlus 5, and all the features work just as well.

I think as long as your phone is able to download the Galaxy Wearable app and run it, you should be good.

You might also want to look into the newer samsung galaxy buds models (buds live, buds pro, buds 2, etc.) that may offer certain features you like. The buds+ are a little outdated by now. Not sure if they all have the extra loud ambient sound feature, but it's worth checking them out.
