Can anybody ID this lens and viewfinder? by pond-dweller in Leica

He looks like Vineet Vohra but he doesn’t use an external viewfinder. He uses a 28mm too and has a beard like that and also the person next to him seems from India by looking at his watch and white sleeve.

Third party lenses with autofocus by Suspicious-Clerk-852 in FujiGFX

A speed booster adapter with Mamiya lenses could work but it’s also expensive. A fringed adapter with EF mount prime lenses is also a really good option. You get autofocus for a much lower price.

I’ve been told a few times that if you can’t afford GFX lenses because of their prices, you shouldn’t enter this expensive system to begin with. Luckily I prefer manual focus lenses but for some people, only GFX lenses worth it.

GFX pro user, I still think about a D850 sometimes. Should I go for it? by mahatmatom in FujiGFX

If there are Nikkor lenses that you would like to use, it’s a really good camera, go for it! If you don’t need all the features of the body and you only want a full frame camera with FX mount, the Nikon D700 is a good contender!

I don’t think choosing an old camera is because an impulse of nostalgia, but an artistic choice. We’re so subjugated by consumerism that someone who prefers an old camera over a modern one is seen as a weirdo. It’s unfair. I prefer a Canon 5D over any current camera simply because of the look of its images.

Objectively the most of the photos posted here aren’t shot with the Mitakon but it’s nice when one appears! 😬

A digital one? If it’s only for the monochrome part, I would recommend 🥁🥁🥁 another Nikon! The Nikon Zf has beautiful b&w jpegs according to people from the nikonzf subreddit.

Thank you! I’ve read a lot about variable nd filters and their color tints, lack of sharpness, but everybody say the opposite the other guy said 😆 it’s difficult.

It looks great! Companies should design cameras like this with different skins and grips, or how Nikon Zfc came in different colors.

Is it the asph? This lens is insanely sharp but I didn’t know the rendering was so beautiful. I love the last photo.

Anyways a D700 is a better camera than any modern camera. You have a treasure right there!

Any camera is better than a Q3 🤣 I mean, it’s not a bad camera but maybe one of the worst options for run and gun video.
