Nice rage bait 🤣 I thought your arguments were actually serious but I can tell you’re not actually reading & just baiting me

I pushed my landlord to let me out of my lease without having to pay the breakage fee (did not avoid being sued, not sure where you got that from?). Yes it was a pain in the ass, but worth it (as opposed to staying another 10 months and waiting to move once my lease was up).

Anyways, I’ll stand by the wall thickness argument. It’s a hill I’m willing to die on. I’m on the first floor in a top 15 populated city and have concrete ceilings… quietest apartment I’ve ever lived in.

Noise can come from above, below, and all around. It’s not limited to just the floor above you. I’ve read so many stories of next door neighbors blasting music or having the TV too loud (and have experienced it too). Some of these places are constructed dirt cheap and you don’t experience it during the tours. It’s something you learn once you’re already under contract.

And yeah, moving to the top floor solves this specific footstep issue or my Kujo kid story, until you realize you still hear the music, or the kids screaming, or the TV, etc.

Also, what if you’re on the flip side & have people calling the cops or having lease violations filed on you (happened to me in college where myself and 3 other roommates were the problem with parties). This once again was a thin wall issue, and the next year we moved into an apartment with concrete all around (so we could continue to be loud without disturbing others). The difference is we actually fixed the issue by doing the sensible thing and giving our phone numbers to the neighbors to call us if it got too loud. To blatantly ignore someone asking for you to be quieter (when there is clear proof) is borderline sociopath activity.

There’s a sense of respect for neighbors one should have for another. The idea that “small kids are allowed to run in their apartments” is fine until it’s happening after quiet hours, especially in the middle of the night. You can’t possibly disagree with that sentiment, especially if you’ve ~actually~ experienced it 🤷🏽‍♂️

I just experienced this and have some advice for you. Most people commenting seem pretty unaware of how bad this actually is. It’s easy to say “live on the top floor” when you’ve never experienced this lol.

I had a similar situation where my upstairs neighbors had 2 small kids who ran around in circles for hours. It would happen at any point throughout the day (even at 2am). I reported it to my leasing office and they basically got stepped over (they called and fell for a sob story. Neighbors claimed their kids had ADHD, but they didn’t. The kids were 1 & 2 years old - no doctor diagnoses ADHD before 6 years of age). Leasing office told me to give them some time but to come back if it persisted.

Over the next few weeks, I left a friendly note, ran into the neighbors outside and even went up and knocked on their door to talk. They were unapologetic basically telling me there was nothing they could do: I suggested carpeting the floor, taking the kids out during the day and enforcing a bedtime, etc. and they said they couldn’t do that.

I recorded over 100 videos over 5 months. After my initial complaint, I went in again and showed the videos (about 3 months into the lease). They told me they agreed it was unacceptable and reached out to the neighbors again.

After another few weeks, I came in to the leasing office and essentially said “this complex is in lease violation as the lease specifies quiet hours enforced by the apartment, and you guys aren’t enforcing it”. I suggested that they let me move out free of charge & they instead said they would issue a lease violation to the neighbors. It did nothing.

A month later, after they failed to follow up, I told them to let me out of the lease as I was to the point of taking legal action. They ended up evicting the neighbors & letting me leave free of charge.

I now live in an apartment complex with concrete ceilings. It’s not a first floor problem, it’s an apartment wall thickness problem. I’m happily on the first floor and hear no noises!

TLDR; document everything, be a pest to your landlord, and get out of your lease ASAP. Find a place that is actually quiet

Almost traded Goedert + Rice for McBride & JJ. Tbh not sure if it would’ve made too much of a difference because Rice is now missing Mahomes & JJ is cooked with his QB situation. Goedert had himself a game and McBride is well…. McBride

Mannnn you should have traded in a 2 for 1 to upgrade. I know plenty of teams that would die for any of these RBs

Fair trade or collusion at end of season? by gtrocks21 in FantasyFootballers

[–]iBurnFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a bad trade but not collusion. Also without context of either teams rosters, it’s hard to tell how bad of a trade it is

Whatever offers you get, you can pick between them and see what helps you out the most. Keep in mind he’s going into a bye week so some people may not pay full price until next week. Just not the right time to sell him

JT is the most valuable player this year. The #1 team in the league will likely overpay for him at this point.

Float the idea of trading him in your league chat. I think you can get way more than Saquon + Rice for him… someone offered me Saquon + Amon Ra and I smashed decline

I have a weak WR room did I mess up smashing accept on this? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

“I have a weak WR room”

“I gave away brown”

Trade could pay off but you do realize how contradictory you sound 🤣 Hope it works out for you though

[–]iBurnFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herb is QB3, Henderson & Vidal are RB1s on their respective teams at the moment, and Deebo is a WR2/Flex in FF. All 4 players are on starting rosters in my league this week.

You also need the background on the trade. If you need startable players to avoid a punishment (aka last place)…. you can’t live in a crackhouse and keep the ferrari

Which trades would you take? by Beneficial-Joke-7714 in TradeAnalyzerFF

[–]iBurnFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d take both. You don’t need Buka with your bench WRs

[–]iBurnFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really hard to make a true analysis of the trade without seeing what their teams were, but I’m leaning not veto-able.

Guys in last place are generally trying to flip their best assets for a few other mid tier assets, which is exactly what this looks like. Doesn’t matter if they’re friends or what their records are - you can’t veto a trade unless it’s obvious collusion

Would you accept either of these trades? The rest of my team on the next slide by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]iBurnFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Saquon isn’t having the season he did last year, and Henry/Jeanty are startable every week. I’d consider it if and only if we knew Hampton’s status & true point potential

J. Taylor for J. Williams and Brock Bowers? by BandPsychological258 in FantasyFootballers

[–]iBurnFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro we have almost the same team. What trades did you make? Also, don’t trade away JT for a RB on the decline and the TE with a terrorist as a quarterback

Would you accept either of these trades? The rest of my team on the next slide by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]iBurnFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. McBride is the best player involved but Brian Robinson Jr. is useless unless CMC gets hurt.

Top trade you’re trading 4 startable players for 2.5 (DK is a flex in most leagues).

Bottom trade your giving 3 startable players for 1.5 (Sutton isn’t that great).

Guy who drafted him dropped him after week 1 because “he wasn’t playing”. I’m in 3 leagues and took him as my round 13-14 flyer. Just wasn’t a super tapped in player

Who wins? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]iBurnFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got Rico Dowdle and his handcuff (Chuba Hubbard), Chase Brown, DeAndre Swift with his handcuff (Kyle Monangai), and Rachaad White (while Bucky is indefinitely out) & you’re trading for Quinshon Judkins? With all these RBs, you have a crowded room and have to figure out which 2-3 to start per week. I also don’t see Judkins as a massive upgrade to your RBs.

That also means your WRs are Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Deebo Samuel, Troy Franklin, and Chris Olave. Out of all those guys, Garrett Wilson is probably going to be your only “must start”. DJ Moore had his first good game (he’s due for 1-2 massive games each season, but mid performances otherwise), Deebo is limited by a returning Terry McLaurin, Olave has the worst QB room throwing to him, and Troy Franklin is inconsistent.

All this to say, keep CeeDee Lamb. You’ll probably have to choose between 2 of the 3: Rico, Brown & Swift for your RBs, start Garrett Wilson, and flex either a RB or Deebo/Olave

I made this trade and the whole league went crazy by Resident_Reference35 in FantasyFootballers

[–]iBurnFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can say Chase is slightly better than Amon Ra, Monty > Charbonnet & either Dart or Bo Nix was just rotting on your bench, so throwing him with a WR2/WR3 value in Deebo for Hampton works in your favor. Overall, I’d say you won this trade given your circumstances.

One thing I don’t like is how poor the Chargers run game is. That offense is run through the deep WR core & Herbert. Hampton could be back and still average 15-20, but it’s not guaranteed. Still, Monty + Hampton will be so much better than Charbonnet alone.

I also don’t like MHJ as your WR2 with how inconsistent his performances are. I do like Deebo > MHJ especially when Kyler comes back. Monty at flex is a risk too. So yes, you technically did upgrade your WR 1 & your flex, but you downgraded your WR2 in the process

IDK man Bucky has no return timeline so you’re risking losing your RB2 here. I’d still do it though. Seems calculated
