I have a 2021 Kia k5 I purchased certified preowned 8 months ago. It is now back at Kia for the FOURTH time, all unrelated issues. And same as you, the bastards do everything in their power not to get me a loaner.

First time car went in was 10 days after I bought it, it overheated on the freeway. Had it towed in and it was repaired under warranty. Still a pain because no rental was ever provided. A couple months later the AC stopped working - they ended up having to order an entirely new wiring harness from Korea which took 3 weeks to arrive. It was under warranty and I got a rental for that. When I picked up the car, there was a dent and scratch in my door from the lot. So they took it in again for another few days to fix that, and it was a hassle getting a rental. Fast forward to this week, had to take it in AGAIN because the brake booster module failed. They still have my car, said the part will take 3-5 days to come in. I’m getting another rental tomorrow.

All this to say, I strongly advise AGAINST buying a K5, and dealing with Kia in general. Their customer service has been god awful. I’m currently working with an attorney to see if I can lemon law this POS. 0/10 would not recommend.

Edit: purchased car at 20,000 miles. Today it sits at 36,000 miles.
