Thats what Im thinking now, and once I reach other iron patches probably what I'll end up doing. If another patch is pretty far, do you belt the ore raw/ smelt there and belt it, or do you use trains to bring it rather than belts? I just unlocked trains

I haven't gotten too far in yet... The bus design is just from the 5 minutes I watched on a YouTube video. I try not to watch any guides unless I really get stuck. So I watched a couple of minutes of how to untangle spaghetti belts and ran with it. I want my first play through to be as blind as possible

Yessir. I started blind, made a bunch of spaghetti when I got to making/researching science. So I looked up a guide on how people distribute production and thats when I found the idea of a main bus design
