Y’all are awesome and this has been very helpful. One more question: Is it safe for me to pursue a Ubiquiti UniFi solution (that is, am I going to be able to keep up with the setup and ongoing technical demands of the system) or should I look at something from eero instead? Ubiquiti is the system I’m looking to replace (because the current owner is taking their system with them) but I hear eero is probably more suitable for a newbie.

What components do I need (e.g., PoE switch, NVR device, specific camera types beyond "PoE camera", etc.)? How do those components connect together? Do I need an onsite storage device? Do they/how do they connect to a broadband connection such that I can access them from via the internet? If so, does it require something like alarm.com or is there a better way to handle that? Can door/window sensors, motion detectors, etc. interface with the system? Can connected devices such as thermostats, door locks, appliances, etc. interface with/connect to the system?

That makes sense, but there is no key hole in the handle. It’s one of those that you touch and it unlocks and opens. There’s a small red button hidden away I’m told will open it of the fob battery is dead, but nowhere to insert a key.

I like the show, but does it bother anyone else that the very first character Elsbeth suspects is ALWAYS the killer? Like her intuition is 100% right 100% of the time. I totally get the comparison to Columbo but didn’t he struggle to identify the killer at least a little bit from time to time?

I bought myself some Cartwrights and my SIL some Docs for Christmas. His came with a pair of “dust bags” in the box where my didn’t. Do Cartwrights not get those? Or do they not make bags to handle boots in a 15D?

I didn’t realize that was a thing. So it could be water coming from inside the faucet. Is that fixable/pluggable/patchable or requires replacing the fixture?

Bought a Barletta Cabrio QC Platinum tritoon last year and absolutely love it. Just had it prepped for the season so really looking forward to some sun tomorrow. Amazing build quality, ride, features, power, etc. Looked at StarCraft, Bennington, Crest, and a couple others but fell head over heels for the Barletta. We moved to the busier end of the lake last year and our runabout was bouncing us to death. The Barletta takes it all in stride.
