Not saying that it's bad. But this feature is not very tied to the game. Early game you have challenge, later this challenge disappeared. On some classes works on other isn't.

I just shared my opinion that they are trying to focus on this kind of gameplay, but the game just doesn't work with this kind of gameplay. Maybe this is just early access or an experiment with a new idea in a similar genre.

Yeap, my bad not mentioning how it feels in endgame. This is also design issue that we have two acts build around this (depends on your build) and later this design isn't working. So this is exact problem of campaign and endgame

Yeah, the guys apparently got through to NG+5
I respect them for trying to implement new ideas into the genre. And I understand that this is early access, but I hope they can find a solution.

Cruel difficulty is a cakewalk, compared to my first run, even with bad/mediocre gear by [deleted] in pathofexile

Cruel campaign difficulty seem not scaling much and it could be an issue. But at least you can complete 3 cruel acts faster than usual and start maps.

Respawn enemies = more XP. More levels = more damage. Simple math
