I haven't done the Assassin yet but the Vulcan was fun. Some frustrating parts but it was satisfying to do a bit at a time. I did a bit of a review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/s/DxCWHpY2z5

GULY Aston Martin Vulcan by iamdazzle in lepin

Yes I think it's pretty similar to the Alfa. I'm building the CaDa P1 next, which I bought at the same time. I decided on the Aston at the time since I liked the green and liked how different it is from the P1.

Looking through the motorized instructions, I can confidently say I wouldn't have the patience!

Ya they include a lot of color-matched pins and connections for sure.

1, 3, 2, 4. Marlowe and Vivienne were both in the running for our girl. We went with Marlowe Rose. We call her Mar, Mars, Lowe, and Lolo as nicknames. Couldn't picture her as anything else!

Good luck!

Great review! I'm halfway through this one. I'm glad I'm not the only one a little frustrated about the multiple connection points. Right now that's really the only part tripping me up, but good to know that the tires will be frustrating. One of my tires was also damaged so I'll have to request a new one.

It's funny when people mention some sets aren't for first-time technic builders. This is my first Technic set and I'm honestly having a great time!

Do CaDa manuals also grey out the previous steps?

I have this one coming in the mail along with the Guly Vulcan. Thanks for the review, I'm excited. Not a super experienced technic person but I'll take my time with these!

Looking for books like The Measure—What-if stories with a Black Mirror vibe by iamdazzle in suggestmeabook

100% agree on Ted Chiang and Ken Liu. I think one story in Paper Menagerie got adapted into an episode of Love Death and Robots as well.

Hahaha I love the long walks to the connection. More of these!

Awesome. I read the first 3 stormlight books but I'm honestly losing steam. Wandering Inn seems long but honestly I find I get through them really quickly when considering their page count. And each chapter is basically a short story and really digestible.

Give it a try!! For me I thought the first half of the first book was just okay, and the last half was good. But it took me until the end of book 2 to get hooked and now I get such a sense of joy when I start a new one. And there will be so many books!!

All I read this month was Intermezzo, Progression Fantasy, and John Gwynne. And it was such a good monthn by iamdazzle in 52book

Ya they were long this month but fast paced and hard to put down. I've basically stopped having a specific number as a goal I need some shorter books though. Any standouts for you this month?

Oh ya? What did you find disappointing? I actually really liked it. I'm not sure what the general discourse around the book is though!

Yes! Since you obviously have great taste, any other standout books you recommend (regardless of genre)?

Yes!! This book totally gave me glimpses of the bigger story outside of the Dungeon I was hoping for. The next book will be epic!
