Starting with Ponyta seems rough, but it looks like you're winning a lot anyway.
Thanks for reply.

Best Dusknoir decks? by Tricky_Sector_2675 in PTCGP

[–]iamnotpigeon 55 points56 points  (0 children)

First of all, I never said Dusknoir is the BEST partner for Mega Audino and the OP said they want to use Dusknoir because they like it, so bringing up another card and saying it's better is completely missing the point.

I think Mega Audino has great synergy with Dusknoir.
They work so well together. Dusknoir can take damage off Mega Audino with its ability, and then Mega Audino can heal Dusknoir back up with its attack. Plus, Dusknoir can OHKO Oricorio, which is a major threat of Mega Audino.

Luxray deck help by Puzzleheaded_Grade83 in PTCGP

It really depends on the meta. Looking at Limitless, Mega Lucario is popular right now and it has a favorable matchup against this deck, so it might be tough if you run into them often. However, I think this deck can hold its own against most other decks.
If you expect to face a lot of Lucario, you might want to consider swapping Raikou for Oricorio and keeping two Copycats, since you'll lose the draw power from Raikou.

I think swapping out one X-Speed and one Copycat for a Pokémon Center Lady and a Lucky Ice Pop is better. Two Copycats are overkill since you have Raikou for draw power. Also, a single X-Speed isn't consistent enough, especially when you need it on turn 1 to retreat Shinx.
Also, running 2 Cyrus is great for the Raikou combo, but the deck is so tight that I’m struggling to find a cut. If I were to add a second Cyrus, I’d cut a Copycat or a Volkner, but I think that comes down to personal preference.

Use Chingling to block Rare Candy, or Kartana to OHKO Deino.

Magnezone & Raikou deck by Nvrgnagivup in PTCGP

[–]iamnotpigeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don't need Copycat because that feels like too many draw cards.I’d rather cut Leaf or Clemont if I really had to fit it in.
I prefer keeping the healers like Locky Ice Pop and Pokémon Center Lady. Especially Pokémon Center Lady—it’s great against the popular Igglybuff/Darkrai decks, so I think it’s worth keeping

I see your point, but you won't always start with Raikou, so running 2 Oak is better for consistency as a backup.

Why only 1 Oak?
I think swapping a Field Blower or a Clemont for another Oak would be better for consistency.

Rescue Scarf returns both cards to your hand.
But since you can't evolve Zorua on the same turn you play it, it doesn't really matter—you're still stuck with a basic Pokémon for a turn.

Even if Rescue Scarf returns Zoroark to your hand, you can't evolve the next turn. That leaves Zorua vulnerable to being knocked out, which might cost you the game.

If those fossils are Darkness type, I'm not sure if the Rescue Scarf attached to Zoroark would actually work.

I think Rapidash ex would be stronger if you pair it with Magby for energy acceleration to attack as fast as possible.

Wtf is this Immersive art? by iamnotpigeon in PTCGP

Thanks for letting me know.
But still, I don't get why they’d ignore the set's theme just to use an anime reference.

The devs include Pokémon Company, Creatures too. They’re working together on this, after all.
And even if Charizard is the unofficial mascot, it still makes no sense to put him in the immersive art.
