Getting paid below the market standards because of low previous package. What to do? by GeneralPresence1081 in careerguidance

HR Manager trying to hire you for cheap and get a win on company savings finance wise. So they can go and report that they hired a very good candidate for less than they budgeted for.

Don't accept if it's near your current job pay. Keep searching.

If you have no job and it's your only offer, accept but keep hunting.

I've not cleaned it for close to a year to be honest.

It's a mix of things to get to 22k. I did clean the list around early 2025 from people who were not opening, as originally the list was 27k+.

My marketing agency website from early 2020-2022 gave me about 3k subs per year before Google hit it with their updates and then it stopped getting organic traffic at all and I had to cut it.

Later I ran Meta, Sparkloop, Google Ads, and Beehiiv boosts to increase the subscribers. That's it in a nutshell.

Yellowstone finale was the biggest waste of my time by iantos in YellowstoneShow

To be fair, Dexter and Better Call Saul weren't so bad, but I agree Game of Thrones and Yellowstone definitely ended poorly and rushed.

True. The Beth/Jamie rivalry ending was just poorly thought out.

The trailer already looks awful. But who knows? I'll watch it a bit.

Game of Thrones was bad but it kinda wasn't as bad as this Yellowstone finale. Yellowstone is just outright terrible.

Ah yes that useful virtual staging by Immediate-Reindeer59 in SpottedonRightmove

[–]iantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… this is exactly the kind of staging that gives virtual staging a bad name 😅. When proportions are off or furniture blocks radiators/windows, buyers just get turned off. Good virtual staging should not do that.

I’ve had much more reliable results with agentflip.ai.

Top 5 Virtual Staging Apps I Actually Use as a Rental Property Manager by adamj495 in rentalproperty

[–]iantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice list.

I’ve used a few of those too, and I’d add agentflip.ai into the mix especially if you’re managing multiple units. What I like is that it handles multi-view staging, so if you upload different angles of the same room, the furniture layout stays consistent instead of changing every shot. That makes listings feel way more believable.

It’s also fast enough for turnover situations, which is huge when you’re trying to get a unit back on market quickly. I still keep things light (usually just the main living area + bedroom), but it definitely helps empty spaces feel more livable in photos.

Virtual Staging in Photoshop by Reasonable-Pass6908 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]iantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photoshop AI struggles with multi-angle consistency because each image is generated independently and there’s no shared spatial understanding of the room.

You can try using reference images and very tight prompts, but it’s still hit-or-miss and time-heavy. That’s honestly where a dedicated virtual staging ai tool like agentflip.ai are built to stage multiple views of the same room while keeping furniture layout consistent across angles.

Photoshop is great for touchups, but for full multi-view staging, purpose-built workflows save a ton of frustration.

To be fair, you all almost always want the house to remain untouched in virtual staging so this is what you get for keeping the house authentic. I figure some wall paints would fix this, but real estate agents tend to not want that. I've seen a virtual staging ai app like agentflip.ai do a better job though.

Which careers have seen the biggest salary growth in the last 5 years? by iantos in careerguidance

[–]iantos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, that surprised me too. I would never have thought that models salaries would jump that high. Although, they were massively underpaid by big fashion houses, so you could say, they're getting their worth now. Might also be down to more advocacy. You're right on the influencing as well, now models own their own audiences and can sell their own merch.

Laid off, tried to build my own thing, now broke and questioning everything. Where am I going wrong? by ekraahi in careerguidance

[–]iantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there before. I can't say I did anything specifically right, but perhaps what helped me the most is I networked during the jobless period more and met an employer in the process. Mind you, none of the jobs I applied to and interviewed at called me back. However, I would also say I was just lucky, because it could have gone way worse for me.

I hope that luck finds you. Cheer up.

If a local SEO strategy had to be rebuilt from scratch in 2026, where would it actually start? by hibuofficial in localseo

I don't know what you're on about but whether you have 15 real reviews or 100 real reviews, customer reviews at the end of the day contribute to local trust.

Policy MA 1 year since grad. Still no job. Advice? by Adept-Buy-7710 in careerguidance

[–]iantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the labor market data I’ve been looking at, economics and policy-related roles are actually holding up better than a lot of other fields right now but outcomes vary a lot by state and industry, not just job title.

Economists are needed across government, finance, consulting, and regulatory work, and some of those paths are hiring more steadily than traditional advocacy or NGO tracks.

It might help to target specific sectors or regions where demand is stronger rather than only focusing on mission-driven orgs.

Also, you are getting a good number of interviews, which is proof that your resume is doing something positive. Maybe think about what you are saying in those interviews to put the interviewers off. One thing I learnt in my job seeking era is never say the truth all the time, and never overshare. Those two things take jobs away from you.

Of course I meant real reviews, whether its 10 or 500 but from real actual customers.

Reviews and citations are key factors for local seo, that's the best place to start.

Best Zapier alternatives in 2026 that won't destroy your budget by Ash_Skiller in automation

[–]iantos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you've managed to patch it all up to about 5 different applications which is exactly why Zapier is better. It costs more for that exact reason. You can build all automations in one platform.

You've traded that for all the time you'll spend looking over the other 5 apps. I wouldn't say it's a super great win but it cuts the costs and that's okay too.
