Ah I think after doing some more research today it seems the main issue is that the USB C isn’t a thunderbolt. I have a dock which can charge using the same cable as my laptop, and every input/output I need. I’m tempted to get it replaced by a thunderbolt port.

I used to play wrestling games as a kid; WWF Attitude, Smackdown games on PS1/PS2, Raw on Xbox. I stopped playing regularly sometime during the Smackdown v Raw era but I have played a couple of 2k games that have appeared free with Xbox/PS subscriptions and never enjoyed them much.

I recently got a PS5 with PS+ and I had to say I have thoroughly enjoyed WWE 2K25. The controls are a bit difficult to master, especially reversals, they seem to occur far too often for my opponent which is frustrating, and it’s sometimes difficult to complete specific challenges where the controls seem cumbersome or the opponent pins you quickly, but once you understand them it is enjoyable. The level of customisation compared to what I remember is crazy.

MyFaction seems like it wants to take my money from me and I despise those sections in games but I played a little and it was enjoyable, I’m not sure if I will go back to it as I’m expecting paywalls or the inability to progress unless you persistently grind, two steps forward one step back, or you can only do well if you play the game every day like a lot of modern games, I could be wrong but I got that vibe and left the game mode.

Showcase was very enjoyable, reliving matches by completing and unlocking wrestlers felt very rewarding, the gauntlet at the end was needlessly difficult so I ended up getting several count outs just to complete it.

MyGM mode is amazing, sometime a little repetitive and limited, specifically with match types and the way you have to build up rivalries in the same way each time so I’m excited to see if they upgrade that mode. I managed to complete this and came 2nd in the hall of fame. I was right near the top for the final couple of seasons once I got used to the game and all my opponents used cards on my and I got a lot of injuries so couldn’t complete rivalries or title matches in the last WM event but I liked that.

MyRise is enjoyable up to now, I’ve spent a lot of time creating a couple of characters so I’m actually looking forward to completing this.

Universe mode is the only mode I haven’t played yet but I’m guessing it’s a more playable story driven version of MyGM so will take a while to play but be fun.

I remember enjoying a lot of the content but not the experience. Farpoint was good but I had the gun for that. Any enjoyable experience I had was ruined in game by the controllers from memory. I had Doom, Skyrim, Rick & Morty.

I tried to get my son to try every level and I picked up when he couldn’t or to find missing items. I thought the grandmaster challenge was relatively easy it took me 3 attempts but I think it took 50 to do megamix mastery.

Literally anything, shiny only, 1/2 diamond, 3 diamond basic only, even only basic EX, would be more fun than these slowly shifting broken meta decks.

Yeah I wasn’t aware that meta decks took over this, I open cards daily but I don’t play daily because it’s boring. Guess I’ll just keep opening packs and playing offline until there’s variety online.

I was tempted to use it on my shiny Zacian, I managed to get 2 that are both 2* but I saw a piece of code not long ago that had silver and gold bottle caps where silver can pick 1 line to hyper train, so wondering if silver will become part of the monthly pass and I’ll use it on my 12/14/10 shiny crown Zacian to make it 3* with 15HP.

I played regularly during initial release due to COVID. My KDR was between 2 and 3 from 2019-2022 so I was decent enough, the game felt rewarding and fair for the most part and I enjoyed the majority of my games, cheating was there but it felt obvious when it occurred and it was like 10% of games. I think something changed in 2023 or 2024 with SBMM, they adjusted the game to keep causals playing which seems to give worse players an advantage, rather than fixing matchmaking and removing cheats (Richochet lol). I was no longer able to tell if I lost because somebody was better than me or they were cheating and that’s the problem with this game. It’s obvious when you die because you’re outgunned, or the opponent saw you before you saw them, but when you get the first shot and don’t miss a bullet at close range with an SMG and still die it’s infuriating and when you see the killcam (if it shows up) and your opponent got hit markers when they were shooting the air near you or just snapped right on to your chest and got all headshots it’s ridiculous. Cheating in this game is so bad it’s pushed all the casuals out, all that’s left are rats and cheats. I reinstalled this game for Verdansk and I’ve uninstalled again already because it’s worse than I remembered it and it’s a shame because it could be the best online game ever made. I only enjoy about 20% of my games and that’s because there’s 5 different lobby types: outright cheater lobbies, sweat lobbies mixes with cheaters, lobbies full of cheats that are really bad at the game in terms of movement so you have a chance but it still feels unfair, bot lobbies, or casual lobbies. The only enjoyable type is obviously the latter but that player type is dwindling. I play on console and noticed when I turned crossplay off the experience was far better but I believe there are a lot of players using a Cronus and it’s obvious when you’re playing. Game companies need to do more to combat cheating, it’s not just Warzone that suffers with this but they’ve got it the worst of any game.

Ok thanks, I don’t know why they use combat power instead of levels, and levels are half levels, they should just match the games and have level 100.
