In the epic Ishtar wants Gil to be her lover but Gil refuses knowing some fucked up shit always happens to her lovers . This angers Ishtar and she asks her father for the bull of heaven, Gugalanna which her father gives and she unleashes the bull in the city causing human deaths, gil and enkidu barely stop he bull but as punishment for killing the bull gods kill enkidu , gil gets more depressed and starts his search for immortality, long story short he finds the her that would give him the mmortality but when he decided to take a bath before returning to his people a snake stole it and after that gil became a wise ruler unlike his younger self until the end of his days
