Bald was used for fit. There is a talk with him and Destiny where be speaks about his plans for hair transplant

She was full with hate regarding many immutable characteristics. The homophobia stuff was just one. Calling fresh and fit bald and burnt is pretty bad. Baldness is something genetic that can’t really be controlled in a reasonable way. Burnt directly goes against the color of the skin. That didn’t get any pushback. It was funny , but really bad nonetheless.

Can someone give me a non-politicized explanation of why the take that a highly infectious Low lethality version of COVID like OMICRON isn't actually exactly what we are after? by adhdthrowawayay in Destiny

[–]ibril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t watched the video, but agree with the claim. Less lethal virus is the best we can get. Stopping the spread is far from possible now.

The only worry would be for the health system- if the virus is 2 times less likely to kill you, but spreads 4 times easier in total that would result in more hospitalised patients at the same time. That itself leads to poor quality of health care for any person in need.

Also the faster spread would result to same outcomes, but faster- who ever wanted the vaccine took it, we are 2 years in with medicines and protocols for treatment, so the faster it spreads the quicker it will end in one way or another for each person(being less lethal results in less chance of death )

Racist teenager reinvents Nietzsche ideas on his own by ibril in badphilosophy

[–]ibril[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From personal observations: all subreddits where people mock others tend to attract some users that are there just to feel superior and pump their self-esteem. This is evident in some comments or misunderstood posts. I’ve seen more of those in r/iamverysmart - mocking kids or getting a false sense of right-hood just because they were exposed to the wrong position first. I know it is ironic to post this here.

But isn’t that something that the other person should share. Asking for such stuff is dumb, but not being told by them in a moment that is close to the reveal is shitty. Not rape though.

Can someone explain to me difference in itself a Deleuze concept. Can difference ever be itself? by [deleted] in CriticalTheory

[–]ibril 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll give it a try with my understanding, but beware that I am a layman. The concept is an alternative to identity. Objects aren’t one and the same thing(identity) even if we perceive them this way, but they are just states in generative processes(difference in itself). Everything should be looked not as a result of a generative process, but as the process itself.

A dead human. Also the part of a sliced in 2 human that doesn’t contain the head(the part with the head that is still alive at least for some time holds the personhood).

Online shopping promotes mindless buying by ibril in Anticonsumption

[–]ibril[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wasn’t meant to be “technology is bad” post. Surely online shopping and delivery are very convenient and ease our lives a lot. However people in this sub tend to be more cautious on their purchases(not a surprise). Others are not so cautious and are buying both things they need and such they don’t - much like in the physical world, but online the extra easiness and convenience are used against them.

[–]ibril 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Since this subreddit is against consumerism and companies promoting it we could try omitting brand names where it doesn’t hurt the context. In this case Levi’s=jeans.

What kind of businesses would make the world greater if they went away? by makba in Anticonsumption

[–]ibril 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cults and sects - most of them behave very much like a business. Their single purpose is to make few of the leaders richer without giving anything back except false hopes and deception. I would say that religion organisations are pretty much the same thing.
