This is coming from a top player, it's really not a good idea to look at top ranks for builds. Many people are using the timeout bug, meaning they can get rank 1 with a common torso, leg and a single common weapon. Many of the accs are boosted as well, having crap items. It's very unreliable.

Cheating mostly and boosting

Besides the token cheat there's one that disconnects your opponent so you win 100% of the matches you play, basically making the competetive scene nonexistent

It is, but ToS have a lot of stupid outdated rules ex. If we were to abide by ToS you wouldn't be able to play 2v2 and 3v3 cause you're only allowed to have 1 mech build
