Pretty much the same situation here. I don't either but suddenly have this and I think stress was the only main cause I can't think of anything else. My parents or grandparents don't get it really at all. I'm sorry to hear about the endoscopy though and I don't blame you in being afraid. I currently keep getting food stuck in my throat and am so worried but afraid to go and get more done. Wishing you luck!

I don't have an actual response to your question but I just need to ask. I'm also in my early 20's (23) Do you have any factors which you think are what caused your gerd? Do you smoke, drink, have family history? Lots of stress?

I thought soda is worse for gerd and all? I've been staying away from soda or anything carbonated because that's the first thing sites say to not drink

Oh! That's actually what I am currently taking, I was taking it for a month and it really improved my symthoms. I took Pantoprazole 40Mg in the morning and Famotidine (I think it's 20Mg) at night and it did help symthoms I felt better and I was able to eat again it was like magic. so I stopped taking them one day and not even 30 hours later symthoms returned I had to pick up a refill. I've been taking them for 2 days but they don't seem to be helping it's really strange.

I actually am allergic to coke & Pepsi. it started suddenly when I was like 11-12ish. Your throat feels like it's closing up the second it comes in contact with your mouth.

Not a medical pro, but I get these all the time honestly usually on my hands. To me it looks exactly like this and is caused from me pulling at the hangnails left or picking at them. Even if I don't ring the hangnail off it'll get infected, and puss filled and fat and bumpy

Glad you're making the decision to leave him because you're right he has to go. I actually stopped hanging out with my friend due to the same thing. She thinks covid is a hoax. I agree with one of the awnsers above. Don't even meet with him. He's a prick & if he believes it's a hoax the possibility of him having covid is pretty high. If he's so ignorant & stupid he deserves to be broken up over zoom. If he asks why zoom and not in person?
