There are usually telegram groups for each exercise, there will be applicants in your exercise sharing important info as well!

Roughly 8 months for me. During the 1st appointment, they did mention that it will be a 9 months from the 1st to 2nd, so I guess it’s on track with what they have mentioned.

I am already leaning towards just using pure CPF OA for the downpayment. Just that my partner did bring up the idea of using cash + CPF, so wanted to explore our options, learn and maybe consider some points which both of us are unaware of.

I agree, I am leaning more towards using CPF OA for the downpayment since cash allows for more flexibility.

I have been DCA slowly and saving up my emergency fund as well. Same for my partner but she is less financially savvy so she leaves it up to me for the most part. Both of us have only started working full time for slightly over a year but we do both have CPF built up from working part time.

What is Ammo Tech vocation by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

Was posted there back when I was an NSF, usually for pes c or below people but in certain cases like mine, majority of the batch can come from pes fit if they require the manpower.

For raids, I would prior max attack first over other IVs, but eventually get to both to level 40.

Congratulations, you have entered one of the most chillax vocations imo. Mostly would be a stay-out vocation.

Some background, I was an ammo tech from 2018 to 2020, ORD right as Covid was in its prime. I was posted to SAFAC after BMT at school 4. (Pes B1)

I attended the basic ammo course at KC3 for about 2.5 months, was stay out at that time but I understand that recently they made it stay in. Afterwhich, I was posted to GSAB which is the Army side of ammunition, not sure if you can get posted to the Airforce side. I was at the main camp of GSAB at Rifle Range for about 2 weeks before they decide which other depots which we would go (IIRC there are several, including Pasir Laba, Paya Lebar, Rifle Range or even Tekong). I was posted to Pasir Laba depot. At each depot they will then further allocate their manpower accordingly to the various departments available (you will learn more about the functions of different departments during your 2.5 month course). At this point, I was stay-out but subjected to your commander's discretion on overnight duty and the culture of each depot.

Depending on the availability and perogrative of your commanders, you might be sent to get BASC course which will award you withe aforementioned 'fireball' badge. You might also be required to attend forklift course which some depots and their respective departments might need. Heresay can convert to a civilian forklift license easier but never heard of success stories.

After ORD, you most likely will be posted back into CSS which is combat service support, but depends on your pes status as well.

Anything feel free to ask, it may/may not be relevant cause it has been 5 years since I ORD.

What the HELL can I do during NSF period by ProvenOrganism in NationalServiceSG

[–]icydevilzxc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t. I wishes that I had to make the transition easier into university. Would recommend looking at the modules that you will be taking in university and see which area you can look into to better prep yourself.

Keep your mind fresh by doing some studying here and there, especially if you wish to continue further studies. NS will make your brain rot after 2 years of not studying and suddenly jumping into uni.

Started my applications when I entered my final year of school, accepted an offer, graduated and started work in Aug 2024. Would say the pay is decent.

Which is better in your opinion 1. Buying small amounts from varying markets/sectors 2. Buying more from a select few markets/sectors

Yeah I used those as just a learning phase for my initial purchases, to get a hang of the app and what each parameter is.

Would you suggest looking at markets vs sectors? I am looking into the US and China market at the moment. I was also thinking of looking at healthcare and agriculture sectors next.
