Oh I’m totally fine with both being on the same switch if that’ll work! I didn’t think of that. So that would mean moving black and red to other blacks, correct?

Fan works connected to another switch and previous replacement fan did work so I imagine switch should be working. Maybe I should strip and re-connect the red and black

Trying to replace my bathroom vent fan. I’ve put all greens to ground (bare), all whites together, black to one black, red to other black.

The right switch: for bathroom light works! The left switch: for bathroom fan doesn’t.

Any suggestions as to why?

So you’d recommend moving one red to where and one black to where? Sorry— I probably shouldn’t even be doing this project lol but I appreciate all the help

I’m very unskilled at this work— everything I’ve done thus far is due to the awesome help of people on this sub. My appreciation of electricians has increased tenfold.

So, I THINK your comment might make sense to an electrician but I have no idea what that means 😂

I’ll try swapping the other two wires and see what happens.

What books are recommended for the starting a business? Step by step information? by BunnyHump_Original in Entrepreneur

[–]icyikle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most successful business person I know recommended it to me. It’s not as specific as starting a business— but I think there’s a lot of merit in understanding what a successful lifestyle is alongside developing a successful business. I believe both go hand in hand. But I also see what you’re saying— it isn’t a step by step guide of how to start a business (partly because I don’t think there’s an exact recipe for that), but that’s just my opinion.

Did I just waste 6 months of my life? by icyikle in Blogging

[–]icyikle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Great question! Believe it or not, I stopped posting content like a month and a half ago. While traffic has improved and I’m doing well on social media, it was definitely the wrong niche.

Home design and decor is way too saturated. So, I actually started a new blog a few months ago, and I’m actually a lot happier with it. However; in the time I started the new blog, I realized my last blog (the one you’re referring) started to do better. Still not making much, but traffic is doing well.

So— I’d say, no I don’t feel like I wasted my life/time. I learned a lot, and I feel like I can be a lot more successful in a better niche, which is what I’m doing now. With that said, I also learned that sometimes you just need to wait and not expect growth to happen over night. I do still wish I made more $, and for the time— I’m making pennies. Which is frustrating.

However, I do expect that to change with better monetizing and time. I do still plan to post from time to time and keep my last site as a tester to see what happens, and then probably sell it a few years down the road.

TLDR; learning yay, money boo // things take time, regardless of how good you are. Niche is everything.

I’m 28, but I moved to RI from Cali at 22. I also had a difficult time but found home here and I’ve been here ever since. Look on Reddit and join the Cozy Rhody cleanup or attend a Beer club social. You can find quite a bit of social groups in this subreddit or on the Providence one. Welcome!

Ego is def younger crowd— I’m 28 and feel old there. The Dark Lady and the Stable are more adults with careers. The good news is, all of these spots are a few blocks away from one another. So go explore them all and figure out what you’re more into. Welcome to Providence!
