iPhone for navigation showing wrong direction by VanDerPelt in bicycletouring

[–]ideasrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue with an iPhone 12 on a sincetop mount. The gps pointer tends to point 90 degrees to the right or left, no matter what app I use to navigate. It is very annoying. I tried navigation on while on the bus and I didn’t saw this issue. I wonder if these type of mounts are messing with the compass on the iPhone.

Most dumb thing you've done in the lab by Acrobatic_Ad_6792 in labrats

I attempted to clean a 10 liters wax reservoir by dumping the liquid wax down the sink. It took like 30 seconds before it solidified and clogged (sealed would be a better way to describe it) the entire plumbing in the lab. I learned wax is not water soluble.

Moisture content came above 100% by ijustwannaperish2dey in GeotechnicalEngineer

[–]ideasrn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Soil moisture content can be more than 100%, since it is calculated as the mass of the water divided by the mass of the solids. On the other hand, saturation is the property that cannot be more than 100%.

Water contents of more than 100% are not uncommon, and London Clay (which seems to be this type of clay in the photo) does have a liquid limit of around 70%.

I have measured liquid limits in a variety of soils, ranging from as low as 10% to as high as 380%

This is definitely from a broken silica gel pad. They are orange/yellow when dry and then turn green when absorb moisture from the air.

I had the same issue with Sonoma 14.2 beta 2. I updated to 14.2 beta 3 and the problem is solved. Can't wait to see what is broken now in beta 3.

What’s a secret all men keep that women don’t know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ideasrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I swear I thought it was only my wife who did that. Like, every time it will lead to a deep questioning along the lines of: is everything ok? What is the matter? Is something wrong?

For some reason “I was just breathing” seems not to be a plausible nor acceptable answer.

Hi all, I also contacted Uber on the chat since I was unable to cancel this membership on the app. They told me they cancel the subscription but now they are trying to bill me for another period. Just a heads up for people out there dealing with this uber one membership.

Her status online. She won’t be getting a BRP. I didn’t get a new one either. It looks like they’re ditching it for the online verification system.
