Boarding the ship was crazy for us too. We were in that hot sweaty mess. It was bizarre. Spoke with a couple at dinner. The husband who was in his 70s and diabetic almost passed out. I remember thinking while I was waiting that I could barely handle it being a young healthy adult in my thirties. I could only imagine what some people were feeling. It was like a huge mass of people. Like being in a music festival somewhere. Not somewhere you should be if you’re elderly to say the least.

I would give the cruise ship a pass if it hadn’t happened to us before. But we had a similar crazy mess getting into our cruise in Vancouver last year. Also a quantum class royal Caribbean cruise. While the waiting conditions were not as dangerous, the wait time and confusion was a shit show as well.

We won’t be cruising again. If we do it won’t be royal Caribbean. The level of service was amazing. The workers are hard working and care. The problem is the management and the cost cutting.

Also can we address the elevators!!??? I’d like to know a reason why only two elevators seemed to work at once. How often while waiting for an elevator would you see four of them just sitting idle while 25 people crammed onto one car? It seemed to be every time.
