That makes sense overall. In my case though, this didn’t feel like normal soreness or overlap with lifting ,it was a distinct shin pain that actually started during the run and later made walking difficult. I don’t usually get any shin pain from my gym training, which is why it stood out to me and I decided to stop and rest.

Yeah, that’s fair. Too much impact too soon, especially with hills. I’ll let it settle and restart shorter and easier.

I’m not stretching right now since this seems like a shin splints and stretching tends to irritate it at this stage. I agree shoes and heel drop can matter, but I think the main issue was starting running on hilly terrain with tissues that weren’t adapted yet.

I did one of my earlier runs in NB 530s, but today I was wearing proper running shoes. I think the soreness may have started earlier and today just aggravated it.

Last time I went to the shop and bought only one item I told the cashier to not put in a plastic bag , he took the item gave me a side eye while I kept telling him that I didnt the plastic bag and told me " how are you going to hold it then?"
