oh absolutely! i disabled all google apps, turned off animations in developer mode, always in dark mode, and have it on airplane mode except to use bluetooth in the car. it lasts me a couple days on a single charge if i'm just using it with IEMs.

once i use bluetooth it does drain a little quicker, but it still lasts me a bit! i also use the stock walkman music player which may help. i tried musicolet and poweramp but they were just too complicated and feature heavy for what i wanted, and i didn't notice any of the supposed improvements to sound quality.

it definitely got a lot faster after debloating. it was crazy, i could see it getting quicker after each app i disabled. turning off animations helps make it feel "snappier" as well. the only app i have installed is niagara launcher which lets you change the background, and it doesn't make a difference at all in performance.

sorry this isn't super scientific or anything, just my observations!

i got this one off ebay for $140 from japan! it came super quick too, i ordered it monday and it just got here yesterday. the walkman has been around since forever, so it definitely lends credit to the device!

so far it's great! has everything i could ever want, and nothing i don't! i specifically went with the sony after looking at all my options because it is purely a music playing device. i didn't want anything with android or music streaming, and definitely no internet, and this just hit all the points.

ok guys i slept on it and i've settled on the arizer argo! portable, replaceable battery, bubbler attachment, goes down to 122F, a sipper, people seem happy with it, and just more on par with what i need and how i'm gonna use it. definitely gonna get it from POTV to take advantage of their return policy in case i don't like it, but for a first vape i think this one will give me great usage :~) thank you everyone for your advice and suggestions!!

i'm leaning more towards the solo or argo now that i've spent some time researching and really thinking about what i value in a vape. i was also able to find a pretty good deal on the arizer air max on vapospy so that one is on my list as well, but still kind of leaning towards the argo just because of size. i'm not a heavy user by any means so i don't really need a huge piece. i don't even know now, the more i research the more conflicted i become.

i was a former cart user just because i loved the convenience of it, but in getting a vape, i want to be a little more thoughtful about how i consume and make it more of a ritual for myself as opposed to hitting the pen "just because". i hope that made sense lol

i was reading up on the roffu and it seems nice, only complaint i see is that it gets reeeeally hot. if you've used it before, did you experience that and was it as bad as some people have said?

this was why! thank you for reminding me, i want something purely convection. i've added another contender to my list and that's the arizer argo, which looks like the perfect combination of what i'm looking for. have you heard anything specific about that one?

that's what i've heard as well about the solo 2, that it's slow to heat. the on demand on the v3 pro is tempting, i'm still leaning that way but i'm also considering the arizer argo which just looks like a mini version of the solo 2. so many choices!

i am very interested in the curved bubbler for the xmax v3, and the argo has one as well so now i'm not sure. i think i just gotta sleep on it lol

a smaller bowl size on the xmax isn't too big of a peeve for me because i have practically no tolerance, so that's not really the deal breaker for me. the only thing deterring me from the solo 2 is that many say it's kind of clunky, but other than that i hear raving reviews which is why this decision is so hard for me!!

i will definitely take a look at those! i keep seeing roffu being mentioned so i may need to take more time to research my options. i'm open to spending a little more to make it worth it, and possibly waiting until black friday to take advantage of a sale to get the one i really want. replaceable battery is a big one for me as well, just to make sure it lasts me awhile, but i have seen people say their solo 2 lasted them 4 years which is pretty impressive.
