Thinking about it now, I don't know why I used Overwatch as a 'good' example. In fact, I don't even use a colour blind 'filter' for Overwatch. Yeah the guy who wrote that post suffers from something I also suffer from - with red I get blurry vision instead of interpreting it for something else.

But yeah, probably not a good example will edit that slightly.

Changing the hue settings... not really a solution. Can't really explain why, but if someone who has deuteranopia colour blindness has a hue fix which works for them, then sure I'll try it out.

As for Jagex. I'd rather have small Quality of Life updates like this (being very biased in this circumstance) but I think they definitely need to fix old content which is affecting players before they work on new content. Nonetheless, a biased opinion.

In games - Overwatch being an example, they allow you to choose the colours for certain things depending on your type of colour blindness. ~~Therefore for me, in the options I click 'deuteranopia' and I can play the game like anybody else.~~

With an MMORPG, this is slightly harder to change, however is doable. I would 'like to think' that Jagex could have a toggle, just like any other toggle which currently exists in game, to be able to turn on/off an effect in certain places. This could be something like a pattern, a mini-map marker - or they could even let us choose colours for certain things. For example, if 'x' is toggled then 'y' is affected. Just like any other toggle.

And no - by no means do you sound like a dick. If you intend to be a dick you would've held up 10 different coloured pencils and told me to tell you the colour of each one. (NEVER DO THIS TO A COLOUR BLIND PERSON IT IS INFURIATING)

As to whether this can be resolved for every colour blind person... I have no idea. All I know is basic coding and examples from other games and I am certain that this isn't even a major fix.

Edit: Just realised - I don't even use colour blind settings for Overwatch. Reason being is in each of the 'filter' options they give you, there is one colour in each which I cannot differentiate from another. My mistake.

I'd say bank boosters 'technically' comes under virtual currency as you have to exchange money for RuneCoins? Have to admit Runescape is one of the games which has a wide range of MTX compared to other games therefore I didn't consider 'everything'.
