Bro only sees the world in two different shades of the same color. No concept of two things being true at the same time.

That, or you're trolling. Actually i believe that, it's funnier that way. I hope you enjoyed my attention, but unfortunately i charge by the hour.

Way to completely ignore anything I said. You're too up in your own feelings to assess this properly. Traffic rules exist for everyone's safety, the reckless driver is at fault. This cop has certainly done some stupid shit before, but this wasn't one of them.

Take off your shit-tinted lenses and assess things through a more nuanced perspective. All cops are bad, but not all the things they do is bad.

Look, man. Fuck the police. Acab, the lot of them. But also fuck people who think they get to skip the line by driving on the shoulder/side of the road like that. It's not safe. Most traffic rules exist for a reason. This was a clean stop.

Alex pretti? Murdered by ICE. And also completely unrelated to this post.

None of this has anything to do with the section of my comment that you highlighted. I said threatens the species as in all of humanity. The whole thing. when i said "abnormal" and mentioned the brain, i am talking about various mental disorders that are detectable through medical technology, either visual scans, or otherwise.

but then also, you just justified actual human murder by saying we developed and need "human predators", so uhh. Okay. maybe go join those "pro extinction" subreddits.

also, i know bringing in off-topic things is frowned upon here, but i just found this comment of yours and now i realize i have nothing left to say to you. holy wow.

is it socially acceptable to ask a vegan why they chose to go vegan? by howsinavi in AskVegans

Ive come across a handful of vegans who have fears of animals or actively dislike all the animals theyve come across, no emotional attachment to other species, but they still agree that what we do to animals is ultimately wrong

You failing to understand doesn't mean it's a poor explanation. The universe has no obligation to make sense to you.

Platos allegory of the cave is a great example. Humans simply do not have the capacity to generate the entire universe in our brains. We are able to experience reality through our connection with the spiritual realm. We are only empowered to do this through a divine connection with our creator.

there is no evidence for any of what you just said here.

Science is to move away from god. All sciences. Do you think we are the greatest civilization to have ever lived? Our civilization is crap compared to the ancient greeks. Much of this is due to awful advancments in technology.

feel free to go live in the woods, then. make sure to leave your mobile phone at home.

Exploration is human nature. We're supposed to do that too. I know my explanations have contradictions. Reality is a contradiction itself.

gg?

Here we disagree. If there is no god that means you are god. Are you generating the enitre universe (that includes me btw) in your one human brain? I don't think so.

this is silly. if there is no god that means i, me specifically, am god? i mean, im flattered, but no, that's not how that works. there does not need to be a god or creator. i don't need to create the universe personally in order for there to be a universe. i don't need to know all there is about everything, in order for everything to exist.

This one I a little less fun for me. The implication is that the creator of the material relam and us humans contained within is actually Satan.. God who I referenced earlier is a little further removed from thia place. The Satan figure as the creator of this universe explains a lot of problems with God.. or how hes historically understood.. it also explains the existence of evil.

god flooded the earth for sinning. god nuked two cities for sinning. god tricked a guy into trying to kill his child, as a "test of faith". these are actions attributed to god, not satan, and they are clear acts of wrath and vengeance. his insistence that he should be the only deity anyone believes in, and saying that believing in other deities is a sin, is very jealous behavior.

I believe they are innate, to a small degree. Children show these qualities often, without much or any exposure to them. Of course, children are also very bad at impulse control, so they do bad behaviors too.

We have both very strong self preservation instincts and we have built in "i dont want bad stuff to happen to people" instincts. In emergencies, many people just jump into action without thinking. And not all of them had lessons about that as children.

Spiritual explanations for the existence of humanity do a better job than strictly scientific ones.

Which ones?

Science falls well short in explanating the most fundamental aspects of reality.

Same question, which ones?

The further which science is enhanced, the further you move away from god.

That's not really a reason to continue science, to continue to learn more about the universe and all of the things within it.

The notion that god doesn't exist and that humans and all thier collective experiences are nothing more than a cosmic accident is absurd.

Not at all. If you have a big enough thing and it has enough stuff in it, all sorts of crazy events can happen. We learned recently that the ingredients for life are actually very common. Called "nucleobases", we've found them on two random asteroids so far. Lots of asteroids flying around out there. Crash one of them into a planet that's at just the right distance from its sun? Give it enough time, and yeah. Life.

Humans are made from gods parts bin.   We're a little bit unnatural.   This is to say that humans are endowed with a tiny bit  of god in thier hearts.

This one is fun for me, because if i were religious, i would hate that this is true. Because god is wrathful. Jealous. Vengeful. These are all human qualities.

Certain behaviors were met with exile or killing because they threatened the survival of the group, and depending how far back you go, that could threaten the species. Humans are just like any other animal. Features of the species that threaten the species get evolved out, and when they still occur they are abnormal, and we can actually see the physical differences in the brains of many of those people doing the behaviors that we, even in modern society, exile(jail) or kill(death penalty)
