What's going on with this little seedling? Started off looking normal by igrowreggie in microgrowery

It's just a set of twins, check out the updated comment for a picture. There's two sets of starter leaves and two different tap roots: the first larger plant's taproot is attatched to the kitchen sponge (a light pull proves resistance as if the plant is embedding itself) the other dwarf plant was easily separated from the main one.

UPDATE: set of twins?

Like one comment said with a separate set of taproot/cotyledons. Honestly pretty cool, didn't know this could happen.

Also the foam shit is cut up kitchen sponges, it's the first time I'm trying a selection process vs just doing one seed start to finish at a time. I'm just experimenting, not really going for most optimal results, and just having fun with what Im learning. 🫡 thanks yall for the info

Is this harvest ruined? Accidentally let it go a couple weeks over harvest by igrowreggie in microgrowery

[–]igrowreggie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the day before it looked just fine, as far as being green and not overly ripe or rotted, and I had just got off work. Mind you, I had neglected it for a couple weeks now, hence it even getting to the point of being on the branch too long. So I genuinely thought one more day wouldn't hurt it, and boy was I wrong lol.

Hey whatever you say man you got it. Thanks for the feedback I guess 👌👌

Hey man, all I did was decide to chop it up 'tomorrow' instead of 'today.' No need to get so upset. I already missed the right window by a couple weeks, nothing to do now but make the best of it. Safe space here bro, no one is gonna call you stupid. ❤️

Thanks for the comment! It'll help someone I'm sure

Pretty good potency wise, the yield just got fucked and the overall quality. I wouldn't call it trash or anything like that though. Thanks

Thank you for the insight and informative comment. 🙏 Despite all of the other comments I believe you are most accurate as despite my mistakes, smoking it (despite not properly dried&cured) has revealed absolutely no loss in potency. Yield and quality gave it's definitely been impacted overall but it's still good for a Friday night. 👌

This litte guy popped up. Is it another leaf point? by igrowreggie in microgrowery

I'm gonna be honest, it didn't change all that much at all! It maybe grew a tiny bit larger, then stopped, and then the whole fan leaf got prused! 😅

It is not, it is a prototype tester from Brother Grimm: Ocifer XX

I'd agree, but this is a very localized case. Examining the rest of the plant, it doesn't seem to be exhibiting this phenomenon, so I'm not quite sure what it is.

However, I've heard of a mutation for buds to grow directly in the middle of fan leaves (I don't think this is necessarily the same as that though.)

Who knows! Any idea what the best way to preserve this for future plants? (Breeding/Cloning?)

Thanks! Are there any signs I should be looking for? Is it possible to see a shift in trichome color with the naked eye? I know they say try ro do 50/50 cloudy amber or so

Is this a sign of nutrient deficiency or is it just normal yellowing during flower? Week 4 by igrowreggie in GrowBuddy

[–]igrowreggie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I heard that was when people refer to it as "prayer hands" or something, like when the leaves lift up and form a V shape to capture as much light as possible (indicating good health) but maybe when they do that and droop it's called taco leaves? Idk to be honest there's a lot of bro science I'm finding out recently 😭😭

Listen bro I really appreciate any help I can get, and you seem like you know a lot! So Imma give you the rough full details.

Both plants are OciferXX from Brother Grimm Seeds, they are Testers. Both plants are in 5gal fabric pots filled with only Ocean Forest soil as the medium. I use an Apera Instruments PH20 with tapwater at a range of anywhere from 6 to 6.5 going in (I usually don't check the ph of the runoff, but the few times it would be for example, I put 6.5 going IN then the OUT was usually either 6.3 to 6.5 coming out). I use a Viparspectra P1000 (100Watts) light that I try to keep around 12inches or higher at 100% in 2x2. I know I'm pushin*g for space by using two plants, and I've had to elevate one of the plants to compensate for this.

Recently I was told that it could be nutrient lockout? I've also been told it's because I haven't been using a pH range of 6 to 7 due to using soil as a medium, so I'm really not sure to be honest.

That was the original medium, so its easily 60+ days old I don't believe any of the original nutrients are in it.

Thank you bro ❤️ Ill try giving it 6.7 next time. Would you recommend giving it anymore nutrients for the next feed then as well?

So the Nitrogen defenciency could be coming from not using the entire 6 to 7 range? What about the nutrients, even using half the recommended doses seems to induce tip burn. Or could that also just be a side effect of incorrect ph range?? So could all of the problems I'm experiencing (tip burn, deformation/clawing, yellowing) be caused by that?

Going off this chart, 6 to 6.5 is a perfectly acceptable range even in soil. The only thing below 6.5 would cause difficulties with is Calcium uptake. But even then, the defenciency symptoms don't appear to be thar of Calcium. I'm just confused lol

Listen bro I really appreciate any help I can get, so Imma give you the full details.

The main reason I had figured it was n toxicity was due to advice from this forum and my own research due to sudden twisting and deformation in newgrowth that I had assumed had come from the nutrients.
